West coast style IPA with loads of pacific northwest hops. Huge pine and grapefruit hop aroma, with flavors of citrus, balanced bitterness with a light malt character.

West coast at its finest!

Looks resplendent in the glass. I’m picking up some citrus and pineapple juice, with an underlying sweet fruit-forward candy-like character on the sip. Mild bitterness on the finish. Immensely drinkable. Fantastic brew.

Poured from a crowler to a glass at home. Canned three days ago.

Crystal clear gold with a small white head. Good retention and lacing.

Smells weedy, piney, and citrusy. No specific notes dominate, just smells pungently dank.

Taste smacks upfront of yellow grapefruit peel, pink grapefruit flesh, lemon zest, orange and pineapple. Saltine cracker malt with a hint of honey. Finishes earthy with a lick of pine cone and a lingering residual grapefruit pithiness.

Medium mouthfeel, medium-light carbonation. Feels very undercarbed, but I think this is due to a three day crowling date.

A delicious West Coast style IPA. The only realize I can't rate it higher is because it has been losing its potency in the crowler and I can't tell it's not quite what it should be. Tastes delicious, though!

I’m driving almost all the way across the country and my route took me by Denver. My brother insisted (8 years ago!) to try this so you know I went an hour out of my way to make sure I stopped at Comrade Brewing. I am glad I did! I bought a 64 oz glass growler and they poured fresh from the tap.

Look-It pours a light-golden yellow (approximately SRM of 3 or 4) with stunning clarity. I’d love to see this with summer sunlight streaming through it! The head is white and foamy but dissipates quickly.

Smell-The aroma is unique. It took me a minute to place the dominant aroma of white lily! Then I get grapefruit rind, dank hops, light bread, and citrus fruits.

Taste-I get pine resin and dank hops and grapefruit sweetness balanced with a sticky citrus pith that coats the tongue. The malts come through first and they’re white bread and a rich grain character. The fine-tuned sweetness from the malts complements the mild bite from the 7.3% ABV alcohol. The malt bill adds depth and character to the beer in a way that shows finesse and skilled craftmanship. I also get a clean hop dankness that rounds things off perfectly. Lastly, I am picking up orange and lemon! The lemon plays with the malts in a way that almost tastes like lemon merengue pie, but it’s subtle. The carbonation is medium-high but has a microscopic fizz (as in not large bubbles like champagne). It is as if the carbonation is buried deep within the brew but are released effervescently on the tongue.

Overall-This is an excellent beer! I must say first that it is so easy drinking, complex, and refreshing that I keep taking satisfying gulps. I’ll take one sip and then it beckons for another. The lingering flavors of grapefruit, white lily, malt grain sweetness, and pine resin are so well-balanced that it makes for the perfect IPA experience. Its firm bite and dry, sticky finish are partly to blame for its drinkability. A must-try IPA!

Had on tap. Clear golden body with a white head and moderate lacing. Huge citrus and dank bitter hops lead the smell. Taste adds definition to the citrus with grapefruit starring in particular, though orange and lemon are strong too, pine and dank bitterness finish. This is all done in a lighter and smaller body, stays in the single ipa realm but barely, explosively flavorful in an old school way

Outstanding American IPA - Ooops...sorry NE/Hazy lovers I guess that term predates your beverage of choice ;-).
I mean West Coast IPA. I tasted the beer on site and then bought a crowler which I kept cool and transported. This is 2 weeks post purchase. The taste is on point, nose has that homebrew sour in the background (maybe sanitization or line?) but still has a lot of beautiful hop notes for an IPA, color is a touch (barely) dark for an IPA and perfect for a DIPA, good lace, retention for an IPA - normal - meaning present but barely.
I like this beer.
The brewery sells MAGA hats with Make IPA Clear Again as the slogan...gotta love it.

That's a pretty beer man, great clarity and golden color, 4/5" white head. Poured at the source in June 2019.

When done right, a blast of C hops can actually tickle the nose, quite zesty, you can use that zest adjective pretty much in every category here. Here we had an equal old school grapefruit and pine blast, dry and bitter in the nose. Like SNPA but without the caramel heavy malt base.

The taste had a bitterness almost on par with a Simcoe beer, but here it was still C hop pushing the ever present pine/grapefruit combo with a super dry pale two row barley grain base that was crisp, refreshing, well carbonated and just old school feels fun kinda drinking vibe. I prolly should say zesty on the mouth feel. Its cool and anti-juicy. There is a prick of alcohol, but that is expected when you straddle the line of a double ipa.

(movie guy voice) "in a world of juicy trub proprietary hop haze bombs, a veteran of a forgotten world rises to the challenge."
