This pale-golden Belgian Farmhouse ale features 10% locally-malted wheat and a strong classic European hop presence. Hazy and earthy with a spicy nose, Lola’s Saison melds it delicate lemony character with a sassy black peppery bite.

Pours a light bubbly airy 1 finger head with moderate retention, a bit of sticky lacing, mostly clear light pale-golden color
Nose is nice, some grainy malts, cracker, doughy wheat as well, a little white pepper and floral spices, some citrus, bread dough, lemongrass,
Taste starts a little tart actually, farmhouse like saison funky character with slightly tart citrus fruit, fair amount of citrus, and lemongrass as well, then some doughy wheat, crackery and bready, bit of cereal, floral spices, some white pepper again, med-lighter bitterness with some herbal slight earthy hops, drier semi soft finish, more lemon and citrus lingering
Mouth is med to a touch lighter bod, higher effervescent frothy carb
Overall not bad, nice characters, enjoyable without going over the top in any specific category, fairly complex

A- Tallboy pours a mostly clear pale yellow brew into a glass with a one inch creamy white cap. Large webs of lace decorate the glass.
S- Saison yeast blasts out of the glass dominating the beer's aroma. This particular ferment strays towards the spicy side of things but still has some fruity hints in the backdrop. Pepper, coriander, banana, clove, vanilla sweets and whole cereal/bready grains.
T- Many beers drift from the aroma into the flavor profile but this one really follows up on the aroma almost identically. Spicy saison yeast saturates the taste buds. Pink peppercorn, coriander and clove lead into banana, whole grains, pears, vanilla sweetness, orange zest, crusty bread and cereal.
MF- Puffy and foamy light-medium body for the style. The carbonation is very high and almost effervescent. Ends with a slight spicy bitterness.
Straight up dry and spicy Saison with some fruity hints that play into the overall flavor profile well.

Yeast meets Wheat and somehow results in an almost medicinal/licorice taste that sticks to the tongue. As off putting as that sounds it still remains drinkable.

Poured a cloudy honey lemon color with a 1F head in a Mikasa Tulip.
Aroma:citrus, spice, earthy.
Lightly carbonated. I like this. Too often Saisons are over carbonated and too bitter-dwarfing the taste.
Excellent taste. Lots of clove, spice, licorice with a light bitter finish- just right.
Overall, a nicely balanced Saison. Not too bitter, nor over carbonated. Great taste.

Bottled on 1/8/17 popped on 2/19/17.
A white- hazy straw color. Small white cap of foam rises, slowly disipates.
Golden wheat French malt aroma, earthy and herbal, very much like corriander and allspice. Earthy, green hop, spicy, white pepper and sour citric yeast. A very classic saison esque nose, I'm VERY impressed with the fact there are no spices added, it stands on it's own French malt and Wheat, yeast and hops to get to a very deep aromatic nose.
The French malt and partially local malted wheat gives a very authentic and complex flavor spectrum : Dry, golden wheat, bright, crisp and very clean malt flavor's. Green and herbal hop, sour, earthy yeast and a sour-citric edge.
The mouthfeel is amazingly crisp and clean, big bite, dry undertones and rather peppery.
A full-on saison.

22oz bottled 5/31/16, 5 months ago. Nice appearance, hazy orange with an ample straw colored head that settles quickly. Label says it is unfiltered and unpasteurized. Nice smell of grass and malt. Taste is a little grainy, a little tart, a little bitter, with a little saison spice - nicely balanced. Mouthfeel is clean with moderate carbonation - refreshing. Overall a fine saison, a little more grassy than most I've had.

From the 650 ml. bottle. Sampled on July 29, 2016.
The pour is a slight cloudy but more clear pale yellow under a decent white head that fades quickly.
Big Belgian style aroma of toasted bread, Belgian yeast, wheat (even), mild spice, and a low to no hop profile.
Light to medium body.
As for the taste; I pick up many of the same toasted and wheat malt characters with a mild hop bitterness that ends dryly. But there is also an herbal spice note in the mix.
