Look: It pours dark brown with a tan head. Head retention is average.
Smell: It has aromas of roast and a slight burnt note. There are also coffee notes.
Taste: It has roast flavors with chocolate and cocoa. There are some coffee elements with a slight burnt quality to it.
Feel: It has a medium body with a moderately bitter aftertaste.
Overall, no hop aroma or taste, so the malts and yeast carry all the flavors and aromas.

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This decent porter pours a
nice blackish brown with thin cola highlights and a very nice
head of off white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin layer, and
sports a decent light lacing. Nose of dark cocoa, subtle dark fruit,
and dark roasted malts with light herbal touches. Flavors follow
the nose with cocoa and bitter malt, dark fruit elements of black
berry, and subtle char and roast with faint herbal hops. Nice
mouth feel; medium full body, lightly coating, medium light
carbonation, and a subtly dry and malt bitter finish.
Overall, a decent little brew from a new to me brewery
Cheers

On tap at Delaware Supply in Albany, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells basically like your standard porter on the nose- mostly roast, with a touch of chocolate. Nothing ground-breaking, but it definitely smells good.
This is basic and a touch watery, unfortunately. There's some nice chocolate and roast here, but it's otherwise kind of boring and a bit muted.
This is kind of thin, but it's very drinkable, with a soft level of carbonation.
I'm happy to have tried this, but it's a tad boring.

A: The beer is jet black in color and poured with a massive, four finger high light tan colored head that took a long time to settle down to a short head covering the surface and lots of thick webs of bubbles around the sides of the glass. As the beer poured out, some small bits of yeast were also visible clinging to the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of cola, dark malts and fruity yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that there are notes of roasty malts that become noticeable towards the finish and linger though the aftertaste.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the and a bit thin on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The hops in this beer are very muted—possibly attributable to the voyage across the Atlantic—so this tastes more like a weakened version of an English Porter, especially given its thin mouthfeel.

From 32 Great Power. In Teku glass. At dinner, with pizza + Playing 8 Bit Commando. Very roasted, with noticeable coffee and some chocolate notes. Nice but a bit more torrefact than I would like. 2 months before bbf date. Close to imperial porter

330ml bottle from Simply Basic supermarket, Barcelona (€3.50):
Quite a nice Spanish brewed porter & another cracking beer from Edge despite the fact it's probably not the best style of beer to be drinking in the warm weather but is was still an enjoyable one. There was a nice malt bitterness to proceedings with a couple of hops sneaking through in the early going, mainly on the nose but some did show in the taste as well, albeit to a lesser extent. There was some solid roasted flavours with the odd alcohol grain appearing at times but it wasn't an overly strong beer which meant it was a relatively easy one to drink & one of the better Spanish beers I've tried of late, although that's not always saying too much I guess.

Normally beers porters leave me indifferent. This I liked a little more complex and elaborate than most beers Porters, too simple. A brewery did not know and now I can go.

S: Sweet, dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee.
T: Sweet, dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee.
F: Medium bodied, very drinkable.
O: World-class porter. One of the best I ever had. Right there on the top with Mikkeller Porter.

Sample plus a 16-oz pint at Ølgod beer bar, Carrer de l'Hospital 74, Barcelona July 18, 2016 (from notes).
A: Totally opaque, gorgeous head, undulating as gas turns to liquid before my eyes; nice pour!
S: Aroma of chocolate malts and roasted malts, hints of chocolate milk shake
T: Not too roasty, more like chocolate malt and chocolate bitterness
M: medium mouthfeel, perfect carbonation, appropriate temperature
O: Excellent American-style porter, worth seeking out.

Dark brown colour. Chocolate malts and dense sticky fruit nose. Drier than expected; bitter body like a winter ale, but the malt still shines through with cocoa nib and a toasty slight bitter finish that lingers. Clean overall and light to medium-bodied.

Really dark brown color with very light brown head. Aroma has a very interesting fruitiness with a hint of smoked malt. Taste is slightly sweet, fruity with hints of chocolate and roasty on the finish. Body is on the light side with soft carbonation. Overall it's a pretty good porter.
