For St. Patrick’s Day, we felt it was only appropriate to brew a classic Dry Irish Stout to pay homage to the Irish-American holiday and the Irish classic Guinness. If you like Guinness we think you will absolutely love our Hingstin Stout!

This beer is a dark, dry stout with a beautiful beige creamy head. It looks like a dollop of foamed Baileys Irish Cream. When the two combine and mix after a big sip it is truly eye candy. Take a sip of the Hingstin Stout and you’ll find its creamy head has textbook consistency. Since our stout is nitro’d instead of carbonated it has a silky-smooth body. The creamy, tasty head and the dry and lightly effervescent body make for the perfect drinkable blend.

The aroma of smoky, roasted coffee beans is quite noticeable at first. Our stout is meant to be dry and so it is a bit bitter when you first taste it. Once it sits on your palate for a moment, you begin to experience its robust roasted malt and coffee notes as well as some hints of chocolate. Hingstin Stout will sit pleasantly on your palate with a cool, round and full character as the head and body meet and join in harmony. As you finish your healthy serving of Hingstin Stout you will notice the left over smoky, roasted flavors in your mouth.

The colour is almost black, the liquid is clear. The two finger high pale brown head sinks slowly leaving lots of fine lacing.

Rolled oats and crisp bread dominates the smell. Some black malt tartness and sweet wort.

The taste is dry with some passing bitterness. Clotted cream and grains, roasted malts and black toast. Light body. The aftertaste got passing notes of smoke, light worty sweetness and creamy roasted grains. The finish is light with roasted nuts and black-roasted cereals.

The carbonation is light and creamy, the small bubbles are fresh. The light liquid is mid smooth.

A bit too worty, otherwise a nice Irish stout.
