From Civil War scrawls on the walls of Graffiti House to illicit aerosol artistry we all endeavor to leave our mark. Our Graffiti House West Coast IPA asserts its presence with a potent aroma of passion fruit, mango, guava, and citrus. The bold and juicy tropical body is a unique signature of the Mosaic hops, while Cascade hops contribute to a clean citrus finish for a flavor so singular it leaves its own indelible impression.

Poured a clear copper body with one finger head and lace ring down glass. A citric, piney hop aroma with hints of grapefruit and possible sweet (caramel) malt although I mostly get the hops. The beer is tastebud nuking at times but that is meant in a good way. Strong hops in the beer give off citric, piney, soapy and even grape notes with minimal touches of malts just to make sure beer doesn't go overboard. Pretty good IPA for a hop head.

From a bottle. Poured a crystal clear golden copper with a fluffy (and dense) pale white foam head. The foam is pretty solid. Scent has a great tropical hop feel to it with nice guava and mango notes; some earthy hops are also present. Taste is a bit more biting than expected, with the tropical flavors being sharper than the scent would have let on. Aftertaste is nicely bitter with a sugary booze sensation, although the scent did have some hints of this was not quite expecting it to be so prominent. Medium bodied and enjoyable overall, although not exactly in my wheelhouse.

Appearance: The head settles in with a full three fingers capping the clear amber liquid; excellent retention and a few shards
Smell: A bit malt forward, with an earthy element; the hop aspect is somewhat grassy and vague
Taste: Unlike the aroma, there are tropical flavors coming forward, with papaya and passionfruit; a touch of orange, in the middle; there is a modicum of bitterness but the finish has some sugar cookie sweetness
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A pleasant IPA but it lacks the hoppy punch I would anticipate from the West Coast style

A bit floral to the nose, hoppy with notes of caramel. Nice lacing.

From the bottle. Deep amber color with a bit of foamy head. Very very malty nose for an IPA to the point of toffee sweetness. Thankfully the palate balances that maltiness with nice hops blended in. Interesting rich notes of toffee, pear and tobacco. Got a little too foamy while trying to get the feel.
