Served On-Tap

A — Pours a very pale pinkish color, exceptional clarity, with a thin and quickly fading white head. Little to no lacing left behind.

S — Smells of tart raspberry puree, balanced with a little lemon and a tinge of graininess, wheaty and malty overall.

T — Tart and bright, not overly sour, good balance of fresh sweet raspberries and some acidic lemon, some grain and malt round out the profile, this tends towards the single dimensional sweet side though.

M — Light to medium bodied, very refreshing, tart and dry.

O — Nice sour from Wander, somewhat one dimensional, but there is a great freshness to this one.

many thanks Beertunes for this lttle gem
In both the aroma and taste, nice tartness but minimal funk. The raspberry is there but not to excess. Nice soft grain laying in the background offering support and guidance through the drink. Great blending of fruit, tart and malt. Both complex and simple. Lighter body, as would be expected for such a low abv drink.
This competes with New Glarus wild fruit ales.

Pours a translucent ruby red with very fizzy, very short-lived head. Aroma had an almost odd funk from a couple feet away, but up close it's all raspberry, in a good way. On the tongue it's all raspberry up front, but with a really nice funk on the finish. I'm not getting a ton of acidity, although from perusing other reviews below it sounds like I might be an outlier on that front. Overall, it's clean, tasty and easy drinking. Good beer.

500mL bottle purchased at the Rocket Market in Spokane for approx. $6. First time I’ve seen one of Wander’s “smaller” bottles.

Poured into a River City snifter, this was a color not unlike that of some rosés I’ve had, but haven’t seen in a beer before: a kind of dark, chill-hazed pink, with a noisy, sudsy head that dropped rather quickly.

Somewhat muted nose. I can pick up the tell-tale sweet-tart aroma of raspberries (big surprise) and a little bit of funk, but it’s highly restrained.

More tart than funky tasting. I’ve come to prefer raspberries over strawberries for their dual, sweet-tart nature, and they work well here. The raspberry-ness is definitely skewed more to the tart end, which keeps it from being a sweet fruit bomb. Subtle maltiness, and finishes dry.

Fairly light bodied, with a dry, pucker mouthfeel.

A nice beer for a late morning of what promises to be a fairly warm day. I wish my current digs were more rural, as I think this would be a nice thing to quaff outside. The funk was fairly minimal, so those scared of such things would probably be fine with it. I might take this to my Dad, as he’d probably find it a lot like the dry rosé he frequently consumes.

Light red color. Sharp raspberry tartness on the nose. Even more fruit and sour on the tongue, with a bit of grainy malt showing through. Crisp and clean with a dry finish. Extremely quaffable. Very good beer. It's no Ching Ching, but very enjoyable still. A must try if you see it.

A 500ml bottle with no visible date that I received in a trade last summer.

Look- Pours a nearly transparent pale ruby red leaving a couple centimeters of rapidly settling off white foam. No lacing is left behind.

Smell- Tart raspberry and a hint of band aid.

Taste- Tart raspberry with a slight bit of funk.

Feel- Tart with a very dry finish.

Overall- If you're looking for something over the top funky this beer isn't it. It's more tart, fruity and easy drinking along the line of Lindemans. I prefer my sours mild to middle of the road, so I rather enjoyed it. Perfect on a warm day!

Pours a clear light purple, strawberry-rhubarb color with a thin finger of similarly-tinted white head that’s quick to dissipate. Very modest lacing.

Lightly sour aroma with definite berry fruitiness and a hint of creaminess to it, too.

Great berry-type fruit and light sourness and tartness stand out in the taste, making it very drinkable. It’s somewhat creamy, too, and might even have a little ting of salt.

The feel is medium bodied with strong carbonation.

This is a very refreshing, highly drinkable beer. The light creaminess combines with the fruit just about perfectly. It’s less intensely sour than many wild ales on the market these days.

Opened as a mystery bottle - effed up my palate a bit with some sweet and salty beef jerky, thus mistook salt in the jerky for salt in the beer: thus, my guess was a fruited gose. The nose is very sweet and fruity - the taste introduces a bit of acidity and plenty of sourness. Interestingly, it gets more and more sours as it warms up - my cheek muscles were spasming like crazy.

Those raspberries are tremendously rich, ripe, sweet, and tart. I really liked the raspberry in this beer - quite good! The mouth feel is a bit thin, and the acidity cries for Tums almost immediately, but damn is this solid.
