Format: had this at the Beervana Master Homebrewer Class. 250mL taster.

Appearance: pours a hazy golden amber in colour with a standard one-finger white head. Good retention, okay lacing.

Aroma: the usual American IPA-style of 'singe your nose hairs off' hop overload. Still, citrus, pine and grapefruit are clearly noticeable.

Taste: again, plenty of pine and citrus, with some heavy malts behind. A pretty standard American IPA - nothing mind-blowing, but still decent.

Aftertaste: plenty of hop bitterness, as is expected. Not particularly smooth - just sharp.

Mouth feel: moderate in feel, with plenty of sharp carbonation to carry the flavour. Quite dry on the finish.

Overall: a slightly-better-than-usual American IPA, a pretty decent beer overall. There is one catastrophic issue however - the best I could find this beer for was an equivalent of AU$185 for 24 x 330mL bottles, or $16 per 500mL. Not worth anywhere near that - not even close. that puts it well above the fantastic Hop Rod Rye and Racer 5, which is just a no-no.
