Pours a dark hue with a tan head. This strikes me as a very accurate black ale. The name states black ipa, but that seems misleading. Resin tone with that somewhat fruity edge that I expect from the style. Also seems to be kind of an evergreen flavor going on? At least that's what pops into my head. All the flavor lingers and I like it. Great consistency. Hopefully everything else from this brewery is this good.

Brown-black with a foamy top of khaki. Forms a crust after sitting. Looks good.

Earthy pine hops, roasty coffee nuances, hop staleness, and some dark berry fruitiness. Plain, but true.

Dry hoppiness with earthy, citrusy, and leafy notes. Staunchly backed by dry roastiness and hints of black coffee. Tart berries, char, and oat bitterness.

Nicely carbonated with a bushiness in the mouth. The body leans light, but it turns the dial up on drinkability. Crushable.

Not bad. Cascade makes good work of the character hoppiness. Roast is unabashed. Enjoying my trip to the brewpub.
