this place is rad, stopped in for a coffee at their sister business, a coffee roaster and cafe, and had no idea it was a brewery here too, which is just adjacent to it, sharing a wall, and even employing some of the house roasted coffee into the beer, a belgian stout with their own coffee, hands down my favorite of their beers we had here. they have a cool space, lots of brick, some outside seating, a humble brew house, and quite a few taps, lots of belgian styles happening which is cool, but some solid hops too. we didnt have a ton of time, but enjoyed belgian pales and ambers, as well as a rotating hop ipa. the energy is mellow here, the place is humble, the quality is high, and somehow we had never heard of it before, as much as we try to stay hip to everything happening in beer, especially when we lived not too far from here. the coffee stout with belgian yeast was the best by far, but they were all good, and the gal serving was really nice and knowledgeable. they have cool glassware for each beer, a great setting, and pretty solid coffee going on as well. i was impressed with the diversity of the beers on tap, the apparent attention to detail, and the humble nature of the place. definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, what a great find!

The Coal Creek Tap brewery is adjoining the Coal Creek Coffee company. The southern Wyoming beer scene is definitely behind Northern Colorado despite the close proximity, but Coal Creek was pretty decent. Laramie is an interesting mix of cowboys and college students and the cliental of Coal Creek represented both groups. Nice modern decor at the railroad track edge of downtown (perfect - I love trains). Good friendly service, fair to good beer quality, and a nice diverse selection of everything from a Belgian Coffee Stout to hoppy IPAs to a smoked porter. If you're in the Ft Collins area I wouldn't say it's worth the drive (although the drive is beautiful) but if you're zipping through Wyoming on I-80 you'll be glad you stopped here rather than Little America...

Nice place with a Coal Creek vibe (which I suppose is to be expected). The place is nice-looking, with a kind of modern/industrial minimalist look to it. Or whatever the over-done, trying-not-to-try style is that is popular at the moment : )

For example, they have a cool-looking white tile wall that is only interrupted by black-handled taps with the corresponding glassware on a shelf above each. Basically, it gives off the feel of someplace that was made with a very specific idea from a magazine in mind with money as no object.

This is nice on the one hand because it means you can drink IPA out of one of the Spigleau buttplug glasses, which is really cool. On the other hand it is kind of off-putting as everything feels sterile and haughty (not unlike its coffee shop counterpart). Hell they even have a beer engine that one of the servers couldn't explain to customers who were asking about it.

It is pretty comfortable and has a relaxed ambience. It doesn't really feel like a beer bar, but in a way this and the aforementioned haughtiness really help it out in Laramie. Trust me. By weeding out people that just want to get shit-canned, it really helps keep the overall experience of drinking there much more enjoyable and beer-focused. In a way it is probably good for the Laramie drinking culture in general. hahaha

They serve some food, have a constantly changing set of beers, and (at least last I heard) have some guest taps as well.

Pretty good beer, okay service, some knowledge from servers, okay prices (a touch steep for Laramie perhaps, but dirt cheap compared to other states, cities, countries, etc.).

Definitely worth checking out if in Laramie or even passing through on I-80.
