The colour is red with some brown, the liquid is clear. The finger thick head is off-white and compact. It sinks slowly leaving some lacing.
The smell got malty notes of caramel and rye bread. Hoppy notes of citric fruits and flowers. Caramel and creamy flavours.
The somewhat heavy taste is malty with quite a lot of caramel and rye bread. Smooth bitter notes, dried citric fruits, peaches and red apples. Medium to full body. The aftertaste brings some alcohol, sharp medium strong bitterness, hay and tangerines. Hints of soy sauce and rye bread. The finish got alcohol and clean bitterness.
The carbonation is rather strong, the mid-sized bubbles are long-lived. The liquid is smooth.
Red IPAs have became something of a trend, and I am not really convinced of them. This is a very malty and red/brown IPA.
