This is my favorite beer. Definitely a beer I love coming home to.

This is everything I want in a canned berlinner, refreshingly tart but balanced acidity, smoothed lactic notes make it sessionable. A little light on carbonation but I prefer my beers that way, not a fan of gas.

Many breweries are doing Berliner Weiss beers lately, it is a no frills style in terms of sours. I think sometimes the reviews don't truely review to style. I will try to do my best here.

Body is a straw golden tone that hosts a half inch of off white head. I think it is spot on in terms of looks. Nose is very yeasty and sweet all over. There are also some soft fruit esters leaning towards mellon. As you take first sip you get a buckle in the jowls as the tart funk really gets the back of the tongue. Yeasty and sour with a little bit of salty dryness on the finish. Really solid for the style and wonderfully drinkable. This is a very good spring and summer sipper. The only stray from style from my perspective would be the consistent yeastiness.

THe beer pours a nice cloudy amber, almost the color of clouded ice tea. The fragrance is quite yeasty, and mildly fruity. If one could smell sour, I would almost say there is a sour smell to it, strange as that might be. The taste is powerfully sour. It is not quite Lambec sour, but not too far removed. Balancing the sourness is a malty white beer sweetness that is pleasant. Carbonation is moderate, and it doesn't hold a head well. Like another reviewer, I don't make much of carbonation, so it has plenty of snap for my tastes. I don't feel qualified to say much about mouth feel, because this doesn't register much for me in any beer. However, the overall experience is quite nice, and very refreshing on this hot day in Georgia. This is definitely a top rate beer, but you must like the type. I would think that any negative review of this beer would be from tasters who don't like the type, and are judging the type, and not this representation of it. Bottom line, if you like a sour, you'll like this one.

Pours a slightlyly hazy deep straw/pale gold with nice streams of effervescence streaming from the bottom producing 3 fingers of finely bubbled rapidly dissipating, snow white head that leaves no lacing. Aroma is acidic & pale malt, thin wheat with light cracker & biscuit hints, fronted by notes of lemon tartness & grass. Taste is sour, lemon juice, lemon zest & green apple backed by a thin wheat & pale malt. Finishes tart & crisp with a moderate carbonation bite, all of which rapidly dissipates in a clean, shortlived aftertaste. Mouthfeel is low-moderate bodied with medium-high carbonation, juicy, mouth puckering, drawing in the roof of the mouth with a nice crawling prickliness.

12 oz can with a 26 Sept. 2016 canning date stamp.
Pours hazy plae golden with a moderate size, semi-durable bubbly head.

Disagreeable, sour aroma with vinegar.

Strong tart flavor with a fruitiness dominated by lemon. Bready and yeasty aspects too.

Feel: light-medium body. Coarse, lively carbonation.

O: a bold and very flavorful beer.
