12oz can, sample from the brewery.

Hazy rosed colored hue, decent amount of head and lacing action on top. Smells of raspberries first then cherries then a hint of cranberry ... tartness from the lactic addition as well. Fruit flavors are very sweet-tart in character, its like a fruit cocktail and tart candies. Crispness is lush within the light-ish body. Very well put together, the Berliner Wiess base seems close to perfect and the addition of fruit is on point.

No label information. Athena Paradiso is brewed in the style of a Berliner Weissebier with cranberry, raspberry and tart cherry fruit added. Available in 12 oz. canned 4 packs and on seasonal release draft.

Poured from a 12 oz. can to a tulip glass.

(Appearance) Pours a crisp, fizzy head of a rose white hue over a densely hazy champagne and caramel tone body with assertive carbonation. Retention is below average and there is no visible lacing. 3.25

(Smell) Rich, diverse blend of tangy and softly acidic raspberry and cherry syrup aromas with a moderate acidity, atop a smooth unmalted wheat body with a modest sweetness. Richly syrupy with fruit juice flavor but decadent with a strong lactobacillus backbone and a wide variety of tart fruit notes as well, making for a beer more aromatically balanced than expected. Potency is moderate. 4.25

(Taste) Bold lactic sourness forward complimented with soured puckering raspberry, gradually tapering off to a refreshingly light but flavorful and highly fruity juiced finish. Incredibly enjoyable, outstanding blend of flavors and very enticing blend of smooth wheat malt and fruit juice sweetness with brazen lactobacillus and tangy fruit finish. Outstanding. 4.75

(Mouthfeel) Texture is softly syrupy, smooth, lightly creamy, medium dry. Carbonation is moderate, generating a medium frothiness and a medium crisp finish. Body is medium+ for the style, medium overall. Balance is nearly even lactic sour and tangy fruit to sweetened malt body and fruit sugars. Alcohol presence is light and there are no off characters. 4.5

(Overall) This brewery continues to create state market demand with products than nobody would have ever expected to love or had even heard of before. Yet, Creature Comforts manages to nearly perfect something that has no local barometer to hold it to. Georgia's first fruited Berliner Weissebier in recent memory (or perhaps ever?) is nicely crafted with balance and bold flavor in mind and does not sacrifice the strong lactobacillus sourness for the rich, juicy flavors of fruit syrups, which bridge the gap between the puckering sour first impressions and the rich, smooth back end with incredible grace. Very potent and flavorful for a beer that is drinkable beyond words. Just be lucky if you manage to land a few cans of these in packaged form, as I expect this beer to be hard to locate for many years to come, and justifiably so for how well it has been pulled off. 4.5

This beer is absolutley incredible. I think when it comes to the fruited kettle sour beers that Creature Comforts absolutly crushes it. This beer is a beautiful pink color, the aroma and flavor are off the charts.

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017, yellow session. Aroma is tart, fruity and juicy with lots of forest berries. Taste follows, tart and fruity, quite dry and tropical.

Pours an effervescent pink with 3 fingers iof pink-ish head, Hazes up a bit. Okay head retention & lacing

S: Cherry & tartness

T: Follows the nose, much dryness, some acidity. Acidity picks up as this warms, tart cherry & lemon as well, some raspberry too. Finishes dry, tart, with some acidity & cherry

MF: Light/medium body with slight carbonation & a little enamel stripping acidity

Pretty refreshing, flavors don't quite pull together for greatness, not a suprise, not much on cranberries

Not sure when beers started going pink but I'm glad they have. Another great example of a light refreshing fruit driven Berliner. Right amount of sour and sweet fruit notes. Wish I had more than th few cans I have.
