This was the seasonal selection on tap during my last visit to Steamworks.
The beer is a cloudy, almost murky, brown color, with a thin cap of foam. It has a distinctive fruity/yeasty rye smell. Lots of spice aromas. The taste has some fruity notes, rye adds an extra dimension, good flavor without being overpowering. Continued carbonation keep it light and refreshing. Slightly nutty, but within balance. Nice body and mouthfeel, dry finish. Unique and Enjoyable.

Is it a rye beer or a wheat beer; well it is really a melange of both grains. The beer pours mid brown with a fruity/ nutty nose. The taste is much like the Saison from the fall but darker and less fruit. The rye adds a dryness to the finish and a nuttiness to the midbody. Once again Steamworks rewards the beer advocate with a complex , different beer that tastes good.
