I generally prefer porter to brown ale, but this is a reasonable example of the style. Memorably, I had it first in April 2019 at a local restaurant celebrating my youngest daughter's birthday.

12 FL OZ can
Served in a nonic pint glass
This beer pours brown in color with some deep amber highlights. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves little lacing.
The smell is toast, chocolate, and cocoa,
The initial taste is chocolate and cocoa. It dries out through the middle and finishes fairly dry.
Medium mouthfeel leaning towards thin
This is an enjoyable, classic brown ale. It reminds me more of an English brown. The chocolate notes are nice. It is good to have a brown ale that doesn't rely on adjucts.

12 ounce can, canned on 1-28-17. Served in a Great Flood nonic pint glass, the beer pours a brown color with about an inch and a half light tan head that stayed around a while. There's also a lot of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like toasted malt, brown sugar, nuts and some chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some dark breadiness and earthy flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and smooth with a good amount of carbonation. I think it's a good overall brew, should have bought a 6 pack of this when I had the chance! Certainly worth trying if you come across some (got this can from a friend recently).

A new find for me at The Party Source in their "local" section.
Poured from a 12 oz can in a pint glass, this nice ale pours a
nice orange tinged medium brown color with a nice head of off white foam
that subsides to a thick ring, thin layer, and features nice light lacing. Nose
of nicely toasted malts, subtle smoke, and light chocolate. Flavors profile
follows the nose with light chocolate and subtle smoke notes mingling with
brown sugars, and nicely toasted nutty malts with a hint of herbal hop notes on
the rear to keep things in balance. Excellent mouth feel; medium body, medium
light carbonation, and a nice roasted malty/chocolatey/subtle smoked finish that is
subtly dry.
Overall, I want to visit this fine establishment!
Cheers

Appearance: Pours a clean brown-amber, with a thick, beautiful head of off-white suds. Average lace.
Aroma: Toasty malts, really a superb mix of chocolate and nutty notes. Hint of hops, as well.
Taste: Rich and full-bodied, with plenty of sweetness up front with more notes of chocolate with a pleasantly nutty, bittersweet roasty campfire finish. An intense brown ale here, packed with flavor.
