Presentation: 12 oz longneck bottle, enjoy by date clearly marked on the label. Long description of the beer, label is a bit different than the one pictured here. Even though we are getting Victory beers in Colorado, I haven't seen this one there yet.

Appearance: Very light yellow color, lots of bubbles and a thin head that fades quickly. Indistinguishable from your average macro in appearance.

Smell: Very grainy - smells a lot like raw grain and a bit of flour. Just a hint of noble hops in the back.

Taste: I drank several of these in the bottle the last few days, and they seemed to have a bit of a metallic twang to them. In the glass this is not presentat at all, and the beer is much better for it. Clean grain flavors and a very subdued hop flavor.

Overall impression: Quality session lager, with just enough floral hop flavor to keep it interesting. Clean grain flavors - another nice offering from Victory.

from a single into a stange

clear gold with a puffy 2 finger white head, nice nose of pale malt, corn, grain, a little hay, the taste is fine but a little too sweet on the end for me, and it lingers without any kind of crispness.

Pours a clear straw color, very little head and no lace retention. Aroma has a slightly tart and sour element when first poured, later hay and then grain and malt as it warms. Taste is mostly grainy and mineral water. Not very complex. Very light feel.
Not a bad light beer to open up the palate, but nothing special either.

DRINK IT IT'S SPOILING!
Pretty good for a helles lager... has the typical flavor profile of the style. Kinda wheaty, a bit of lemon in the flavor, very clear looking, a bit on the sweet side of the spectrum. A little too sweet for me; when I go for a pale lager I tend to like them a bit dryer and crisper. This is on the juicy side. A little bit slick on the palate but has appropriate carbonation.
Solid stuff. Nothing striking about it but it does its job.

Pale yellow in color with a slight chill haze. Poured with a short fizzy white foam that quickly dissipated leaving no cap or lacings. Toasted malt, biscuit, and light lemon hop aromas. Medium bodied with assertive, but not fizzy, refreshing carbonation. Toasted malt with biscuit flavors up front with a tangy, citrus lemon hop bite through the middle. Finishes crisp and dry with a biscuit malt aftertaste.

12oz. bottle

Pours a clear pale straw color with a fizzy white head that thins. Spider web lacing on the glass.

Aroma is very grainy with just a light scent of hops. Smells very fresh and crisp.

Taste is very crisp and malty with a dominating grainy flavor. A slight hop taste peeks through now and then, but it's more of an afterthought. Finishes crisp and clean.

Body seems a bit thin, carbonation is good.

This goes down with tremendous ease. A very nice lager - but what else would you expect from Victory?

A) Pours with a 3/4 inch head. Good head retention. Visible carbonation. Golden color. Thin lacing.
S) Just a touch of yeast. Sweet fruit scent...citrus, maybe tangerine.
T) Grainy. A mellow sweetness lingers on top while a bit of hops tries to press through.
M) Light bodied. Thin. Slightly dry.
D) A decent brew, but just plain lager.

On tap at Moan and Dove. This golden-yellow lager is extremely clear to see through, however, there is practically no head. The aroma is barely a hint of hops. Surprisingly, the taste was very developed even with the lack of apparent smells. It turned out to be a really sweet lager. An average carbonation allows it to be somewhat refreshing but a bit too watery. Overall, this drink was a little too crisp, a little too watery and lacked any powerful aroma. But it was decently sweet.

Crystal clear corn hue in body with a white top that fades fast. Smells of floral notes, a dab of honey, and some hops. Tastes of floral, honey, some hop bitterness towards the finish. Light in body with light carbonation. Pleasant and easily quaffable. Nice.

EBD 3/4/14. Clear light golden pour with a nice head and normal lacing. Laid back nose of what strikes me as Hallertau hops, very slight. Light medium body with light carbonation. This is a nice Helles that is to style. The taste is laid back, as is the nose, and light with the expected effervescence. A slight sweetness coupled with a bit of hop flavor and bitterness constitutes the flavor profile. Crisp and clean finish with a touch of lingering bitterness.

Pours a pale gold with a snow-white and frothy head. some fine lacing. Smells sweet, alot like honey.

Taste is very sweet, hardly any hop flavor at all. Lots of honey flavor in this. Pale sweet malt, hnts of caramel. Mouth is a bit cloying quite frankly. Sticky mouth and finish. The honey-like flavors are just too much. Not a good Helles IMO.

12oz bottle, served in a standard pint glass

A - pours with a thin layer of loose white foam which quickly settles to a film and ring. the beer is mostly clear and *very* pale straw colored.

S - grainy but with a nice grassy and slightly lemony hop kick at the end. light a light Prima (which is nice).

T - begins with strong malt grains and biscuits before a flash of grassy hops. quickly again the lightly buttery and bready malt takes over.

M - thin body but the carbonation falls just a tiny bit flat. lingering sweetness and grains.

D - light and drinkable, a bit malt-heavy for my taste but seems to suit the style pretty well. will make good work of the other 5 bottles from my Victory variety pack in this weather.

Light aroma of lightly sweet pale malt (I tried, that's all I could find). Moderately thick, foamy, bright white colored head fades quickly to a patchy film. Perfectly transparent pale straw colored beer with a few streams of fine bubbles rising from around the bottom edges of the glass. Lightly sweet malt up front with a pinch of candied hop flavor underneath. The body is fairly light, and there is a healthy dose of carbonation towards the end. I read the style guide and everything seems to be in check, but I don't think there's much in this style that appeals to me.

12 oz battle poured into a pils glass. Thin white head and not much in the way of lacing. A single spot hovers in the center of the surface. Color is a pale straw yellow.

Smell has a slightly wet blanket grain aroma. Taste is surprisingly white grapish. A little spice from the yeast.

Mouthfeel is light but slightly oily.

Pours a very pale yellow with an ever so delicate head that fades fast and leaves some equally delicate lace. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty, herbal hops with a bit of floral perfume. The flavor is just as delicate and smooth with a bready malt base and a herbal, floral hop character. This beer is none too exciting, but very tasty with a nice noble hop character. The mouthfeel is very light and refreshing with a nice dry finish that begs for another sip. Obviously this is very drinkable, and would be a great beer for any friends still into the BMC beers. Not the best Victory beer, but another solid offering.

A - Clear very pale lemon juice yellow. A one finger head that dissipates within a minute of being poured. No lacing.

S - Crisp clean smell of citrus (lemon and grapefruit) over light bodied malt. Not fantastic, but far from offensive.

T - A bit of citrus flavor at first bite. It is crisp and pleasant. As the flavors progress, they develop a bit of a light bodied malt / grassy presence to overpower the citrus. Finishes grassy and lightly bitter. Very mild flavor, for the style that is great.

M - Carbonation is high, thin and watery. Refreshing as can be.

D - Easy. It is like water, so it drinks like water. This is a natural session beer, a compliment to nearly any meal. It tastes like a macro lager, but stripped of all unpleasantries.
