Golden straw colored. See through with a small white head. Beery scent, slight citrus. Very similar to other Helles I've had with a yeast flavor with a slightly bitter finish. Decent carbonation and a crisp finish.

Bought a six pack and was unimpressed. Poured with little head which quickly dissipated. Color was very pale and the taste was pretty bland. I have five more to drink but won't be buying anymore.

I bought a bottle of Victory Helles from the single shelf at Binnys. It poured a slightly hazy yellow with no head and no lace. The scent was blah...not much to report. The taste was fairly well balanced and easy to drink. There was a touch of bread and hop. The Mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's ok....middle of the road...that's why is got straight 3s

Great smell and feel. Starts like a lager but finishes like a Pilsner with a watery malty back end. Completely inoffensive and would drink again.

BBD: Nov 10 2016. Poured two bottles into a large half liter mug.
Frothy head of foam initially that fades after the first couple sips. Random spotty lacing around the edges, patchy surface skim. Active trails of rising carbonation. Bright clarity, tiny amount of suspended micro sediment.

Aroma is mild, bready soggy cereal grains, light lager yeast presence.

Taste is clean and malty, basic malt profile, light apple esters from the yeast. Hint of light malt sweetness.
Light bodied, somewhat crisp, little to no bitterness. Pretty clean and quaffable on a hot day.
Simple and unfettered, fairly utilitarian. Not reinventing the wheel, it's more of a traditional pre-prohibition throwback.
Worth a try, simplicity is underrated. That said, Victory definitely makes more interesting lagers than this one.

Slight fruit. Hops. Light Yellow. Looks more like a pilsner. Strong Carbonation.Grapefruit and hops.Excellent carbonation and very lively. Was Expecting a bit more Oomph. A very lively beer, but not much going on in terms of flavor and ultimately that is the most important thing.

Wins the side by side comparison with Fordham Helles Lager, Victory Lager and Yuengling Lager.

7/17...clear, light, see through, golden head. Low foam, virtually gone. Chalky malt straw nose. Clean taste, citrus crisp lemon pokes through and vanishes. Water filled finish. Fast flavor and gone. Feels authentic. Simple and refreshing.
