12 oz bottle poured into pilsener glass.

A - Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow. A good amount of carbonation. A very large, 3 finger-thich head formed, which stuck around for a while and left a fair amount of residuals.

S - Sweet malts and banana up front. Hints of a general dark fruit aroma afterwards, and perhaps a hint of booze.

T - Touch of malts, a good amount of banana taste, and some dark fruit taste going on. In general, a very sweet beer. A faint hint of alcohol heat at the end. Expected from a 9.5% ABV. Not a bad tasting beer.

F - Finishes clean with some carbonation felt. A little sticky. Fairly refreshing, although I'd hesitate to session this beast, as it'll buzz you up pretty quick.

O - Not a bad beer, but not outstanding. Tripel's aren't my favorite style, but this is a decent representation of the style. It's a little on the sweet side, but overall, it's not a bad beer. Certainly worth buying the Victory 'Variety of Victories' sampler.

The beer comes in a clear gold color with a bit of orange.

The aroma has Belgian yeast, clove, banana, lots of spice.

The flavor follows, but not exactly. You definitely get some wheat, spice, and watery banana juice. Then the flavor behinds almost medicinal or metallic on the aftertaste.

The body is a bit light on this one, but the aftertaste I had issues with.

This isn’t an undrinkable or offensive beer, just a bit off when comparing it to the highly rated tripels I’ve had. It’s a good entry because it’s so drinkable despite being 9.5% ABV, but still not exactly what I’m looking for in a tripel.

Bright golden color with a thick head with good retention and leaving laces.
Aroma of Belgian yeast, caramels, Cointreau, cloves, cinnamon and bready malt. Hints of piney hops.
Taste mostly follows nose, sweet flavor malt, caramels, condiments, Belgian yeast and tangerines. Also, hints of apricot soaked in liquor, guaraná, pineapples and lemongrass. Dry and bitter aftertaste with a residual medicine taste.
Medium body with medium effervescent carbonation. Incredible how they were able to hide the 9.5% ABV in the palate.
Decent hoppy Tripel, though it felt to me more like a Saison. That would be better rated if consider as such.
