A fishy smell before it hits the mouth. Decent. Bitter but not hoppy. Caramel and syrup. Quite zingy. Fruity aftertaste. It's an American bigger, bolder take on the style. Has a lovely chilli chocolate quality, weirdly. Decent.

L. Clear amber to brown with a short slightly off-white head which doesn't hang out long and drops to a foamy film.
S. Dark wheat bread, plums, dates, raisins, peppery clove spice.
T. Flavors work well together. Spicy, like cloves. Sweet, like molasses or dark sweetened bread, banana fried in dark brown sugar, dark fruits with some spice and only a hint of bitter toward the end. 8.7% abv is only slightly warming in the aftertaste.
F. Medium body, medium carbonation.
O. Very nice fall weather beer. Cheers ! !

Dark amber color. Aroma is a boozy mix of ripe and dried fruit as well as malt and yeast. Taste was plums, fruit, malt and yeast. A very complex beer ,nice feel, a lot going on but it's all good. The abv is evident but not off putting

This was poured into a weizen glass. The appearance was a hazy bronzed orange color with a two finger white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds leaving less than slim messy lacing. The smell had a sweet dark fruits to gentle spice rolling into each other nicely. Light sweet bready notes balance nicely. The taste wraps together the spice with the breadiness, sweet yet gentle clove. There’s no aftertaste but it does have a slight gentle sticky sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable aspect to it. Carbonation seemed okay for the style but may have died a bit too since it’s an old bottle. Overall, pretty nice weizenbock that I'd have again.

355 ml bottle, Brewers Droop, Bristol - Pours cloudy amber with a medium white foamy head. Medium carbonation Nice lacing. Aroma - bready/yeasty forefront, ripen fruits, light banana esters.
