Pours yellowish gold with lots of bubbles and bollowing white bubbly head. Smell of booze, vegetal hops and some sweet malt characters. Feel is crispy and creamy, lots of spice on the palate and some raw grassiness, and straw-like dryness, with some sugary malt characters. Booze is there more than expected. overall an earthy complex lager.

I poured this beer into a perfect pint glass, it has a straw gold color body with just a real thin fizzy white head. The smell is a little bit citrus with a hint of mint. The taste is malty and sweet up front then i get a faint hop taste on the back of the tongue. This has a nice mouth feel and overall is well carbonated and good tasting.

A-cloudy gold with a nice frothy cream colored head

S-creamy grassiness with a touch of mint. i don't know why i've been getting mint in my american craft lagers lately...smells malty with a touch of honey. medium strength

T-comes in with a pale lageresque taste of creamy grass and light honey. its a crisp taste with a grassy after-taste. good strength

M-medium creamy carbonation with a watery after-taste

O-not really impressed with this one. it has a weird creaminess to it. doesn't remind me of anything german. not very drinkable and not something i'll be wanting again.

Bottle poured into a pint.

This beer is a lush extreme golden color. The head was pure white and died rather quickly. The golden color of the beer isn't transparent and it is rather a more opaque golden color. The aroma smells like a typical helles lager just a bit more pungent. The aroma is grassy, grainy, and sweet. There is also a noticeable hop aroma that is very well blended with the grain/malt. The taste is a sharp grain twang blended with a big hop bite up front. The hops hit the palate almost immediately. The aftertaste is rather grainy and sweet but still with the lingering hop bitterness. The MF is crisp and refreshing yet dry and, due to the substantial hop bitterness, not all that refreshing or thirst quenching. I think Victory has this one pretty well nailed. A perfect Spring beer when the weather is still cold and demands a slightly tougher and meatier brew, but is starting to yield to the ever increasing daylight. This is a solid Helles Bock and a style that you don't see represented too often. It stands in the shadows of other styles of lagers and ales.

This beer may be a bit too bitter for the style and I personally think it should be more grainy and sweet, but I still really enjoyed this brew.
