A: st. Boisterous is the color of old bourbon, with an off-white head of moderate retention. Lacing is minimal.

S: Caramel and hops combine in this wonderfully presented bouquet.

T: St. Boisterous presents a beautiful dichotomy between malty sweet and hoppy dryness. It is somewhere between a malty bock and a crisp pilsner.

M: delightfully light bodied with just a touch of carbonation.

D: I am really impressed by Victory's endeavors into German styles. I can't believe how delicate this beer is, especially at 7.4 abv. This is definitely worth a try.

This beer pours a clear shimmering golden color. The head is massive, and receds slowly into thick lacing. The aroma is grassy, grainy, but with a nice fruity background. The taste is a perfect balance between grassy and fruity, and is midly sweet overall. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with nice carbonation. Overall, this is one of the best maibocks I have had to date. I will certainly drink this again whenever I get the chance.

Better than Hofbraeu.

That's right, I said it, bitches.

This beer absolutely rocked my face off. Victory is a brewery that never fails to amaze me. Holy wow!!!!

It pours a nice apple-juice colour with a nice fluffy head that hangs around long enough to make its presence known, but doesn't overstay its welcome -- like the cool guy at a party.

It smells very pleasant. This is the best smelling maibock I've ever had. It reminds me a lot of a really good apple cider, actually. Pleasant, light fruit aromas mingling with a touch of sweet. There is a little alcohol in the nose to bring it all together. Very nice.

The taste. Wow. It is good. Very good. I'm in freakin' love. It basically follows the smell, with a light touch of white grape, and macintosh apple. Good stuff.

The mouthfeel is the only part of this beer that didn't amaze me. It is very, very light. Now, I'm not asking for a maibock to be thick like a doppelbock, but I think that the mouthfeel could stand to be a little richer.

Drinkability? Are you kidding? This is awesome!

Thanks Muenchenerkindl!

Pours a beautiful clear gold with modest head that dissipates quickly.

Sweet malt and honey nose.

Sweet malt, honey and mild hops taste.

Mouthfeel is light to medium with pleasing carbonation.

A very drinkable Maibock; just wish they hadn't run out of it at Victory a couple of weeks ago.

A: Crystal clear light amber color. Head was initially about 1 1/2 inches and fluffy white, but dissipated quickly, leaving a scant layer of suds and no lacing. I hand washed this glass and rinsed it at least five times with hot water, so I'm pretty sure the glass is clean enough to hold the head.
S: Lightly toasted malt aroma. A hint of spiciness, very low hop aroma.
T: Big malty flavor up front that isn't on the sweet side at all. Subdued hop flavors with a bit of a spicy bite. Very clean, finish is a great balance of the two. This beer flat out tastes great.
M: Medium body. Alcohol feels punchy, provides a very pleasant warming sensation. Carbonation is spot on. Not dry, not sweet, but a wonderful blending of them. Goes down far too easily.
D&N: Oh good heavens, this beer is just about perfect. The smells and the tastes are phenomenal, very easy to drink, a perfect beer to come home to after working the night shift and wanting to relax with. Highly recommended.

Clean, clear regal gold color....sweet, malty nose of honey, vanilla, and toasted vienna notch..

Body is medium to full..pretty big for a maibock but not too big...easy drinking...perfect carbonation...slick feel..

Excellent tasting maibock. Sweet...slight honey and vanilla...big on the toasted malts...a slight floral hop impression.

What an incredible maibock...perhaps the best I have had....highly recommended...better than Capital in my opinion...
