Notes / Commercial Description:
Friendship and camaraderie: the two keys to any festive event. And then there’s the beer. It should be full-bodied, yet infinitely smooth. Seductively malty, with a kiss of the hops for balance. This is our Festbier. Painstakingly crafted from German malts, decoction brewed for full flavor and carefully aged for depth of character. Subtly sweet with a delicate malt nose, our Festbier gains its impressive body from our use of all imported German malts and decoction brewing process. Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tulip

L: Clear copper red pour. 1 finger of head... nice ring of lacing.

S: Malty and sweet.. caramel and grains.

T/F: Follows the nose. Caramel malts... toffee and mild sweetness. Some light hopping to balance it out. Medium to light in body. Finish is sticky and malty.

O: Tastes like an Oktoberfest. Not a style I love, but clean and drinkable. Not a bad fall beer. Nothing to get excited about either.

I really didn't think much of this beer. The body of this beer has an okay color. Flat amber and crystal clear. No lacing to speak of. Malty and sweet. Almost like caramel made of corn syrup. Absolutely no relief on the way from either carbonation or any sort of hop presences. Pass on this beer.

A very clear caramel/amber in color. Half a finger of off white head that dissipates fairly quick. A bit of lacing left down the glass. The aroma is sweet, almost a butterscotch candy type of smell. Malty, a little nutty, like fruitcake. The flavor is all of these elements, and is bready, lots of caramel sweetness; a bit too much, I think. The feel is medium thin body, mildly dry, and average carbonation. Overall, it is a bit too sweet and tame, for me.

Really nice deep orange/Amber color. Toasted malt, sugar, almost candy like aroma. Taste was similar but a bit weak and a little disppointing. It felt a little thin and there was a but of a sour bitter aftertaste

Interesting beer. Pours a beautiful dark Amber from the bottle I picked up at the supermarket. Smell and flavor is very strong but I am not a fan. I get the faint caramel but overall this is a little thin and lifeless. I will keep looking for a fall beer.

Poured from a recently purchased bottle dated best by 12/17 into the test glass.
A - Deep copper toned, clear and beautiful. thin cap is supported by gentle carbonation.
S - Malts all the way, sweet caramel, with a hint of orange, brown sugar.
T - Follows the nose well, excellent malt display.
M - Medium in body, soft on the palate, finish is sweet but nicely dry.
O - A robust interpretation, with a lot of caramel in the offering, a very nice beer

Pours a clear, deep amber color with a little bit of head that faded away rapidly. Smells richly of brown sugar and toasted malts. Taste is sweet, caramel, with a little black tea flavor coming in towards the middle and end. Medium light body, minimal carbonation. Tasty, but not as much as the aroma would have you believe, seems to be slightly above average as far as marzens go this year.
