Bottle dated Enjoy By 21 May 2016 into pint glass. As I was pouring it, I thought "Holy crap - look how light this stuff is!" Pours a very clear, very pale straw color with a bone-white head. But the light color is misleading: this beer actually has some serious heft to it. The initial impression is lemon, citrus, and grapefruit, with a bready maltiness offsetting (but not completely) the initial hops surge. Fruits come to the forefront as the beer warms. Medium mouthfeel (a little thick for the style) and medium cabonation (about perfect, IMHO). Alcohol is pretty well hidden. Very drinkable, but won't knock Dirtwolf off its pedestal anytime soon.

12 oz bottle poured into an Ommegang tulip.

Pours a clear, dark yellow color with two fingers of fluffy foam. Aroma is very floral, with hop aromas pleasantly strong. Moderate carbonation rushes up the center of the glass.

First sip is a wave of floral hop flavors. Finishes strongly bitter, but not harsh at all. Packed full of hoppy goodness, this beer really showcases the floral and grassy flavor, with just enough malt sweetness to balance but not contrast. Beautiful rings of lace coat the glass as the beer recedes.

This is an excellent IIPA. The alcohol is not evident at all, and this will tickle your hop fancy for sure. Would certainly buy again.
