Enjoy by 10/15/14. 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a pale golden with a small white head that fades and leaves solid lacing and retention. The aromas have alot of sweet corn. Pilsener malts are there. Fresh bread. Subtle caramel notes. The flavors are very earthy. Very sharp and crisp. The dry-hopping becomes very noticeable. Some black pepper in the mix. Pretty spicy. Some pine notes. Lemon zest in the finish. Hints of lime too. Finishes very dry. Mouthfeel is light with a nice body to it; active carbonation. Very smooth and easy drinking. Fun to drink.

The aromas are lackluster, but the flavors more than make up for it. You get exactly what they advertise. This is a dry-hopped pilsener, no doubt about it. It stays true to the style and doesn't try to be an IPA or a hybrid. Nice beer.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Pilsner glass.

Appearance: Rich gold with good sized, stark white head.

Smell: Lemon, hay and pepper mostly. Not as much apple as noted in many Pilsners.

Taste: Despite some strong hop notes of lemon, citrus, flowers and pepper, this is surprisingly restrained. Some hay and apple notes but not as much as expected. Finish is spicy and lightly bitter.

Feel: Heavier body than expected but nice carbonation and a great, dry finish.

Overall: I had a Prima Pils right afterward for comparison, and this is definitely a little more unorthodox with unique hop notes and less emphasis on the traditional malt taste. However, this is surprisingly less bitter and sharp than the more traditional, but very hoppy, Prima Pils. Both are great beers.

Summer sampler is out in the Burgh, Beer Express to be exact...$31.99 a steal for four beers. This dry hopped pils, a session IPA, Summer Love, and the return of Whirlwind witbier. Enjoy by 10/14/14 seems a bit generous but what ever if I find more I will drink it.

This pours a deep golden slight chill haze, bright white foam head fine speckled lacing. Beautiful appearance, how do I get a full case of this Victory is king of the pils. All of the varietal Braumeister pils, Prima, and anything lagered for the most part.

Aromatics bright fresh whole cone hops make all the difference citric, earthy, fresh cut grass I'm all in...does it right for me. The blasts of dry hops almost mask the biscuit malt and fresh baked bread from the perfect grain bill utilized in this refreshing summer pils.

Flavor bitter noble hops, citrus/lemon peel notes, hay/fresh cut grass, earthy and a bit dank...really nice malt presence once the initial hop blast fades rich pilsner malt gives the bready/biscuit malt complexity that I want in a pills just a bit of faded grainy husk character in the finish but nearly perfect.

No off flavors bone dry finish, really makes you consume this beer without effort...carbonation is dead on carries it well through each sip. Definitely sessionable, I'm glad I got my Hop Ticket fix.

I bought a case of the summer Victory variety pack with only a sixer of this available for $31.99, I'd love to grab a sixtel at some point to make it more accessible.

DATE TASTED: May 24, 2015... GLASSWARE: Paulaner polar... OCCASION: Cavs/Hawks game three after a good visit at Bob’s... APPEARANCE: The second night of Hop Tickets offers a similar, though not as over the top as the IPA, but the head is as soapy, rocky and effervescent as ever; head itself is a four-finger tower; its body is a mostly translucent, slightly hazy yellow; lacing is puffy cotton balls... AROMA: slightly metallic ping of Saaz and Hallertau for floral allure....PALATE: thin, lightly oily and unassuming--refreshing, but not as bright as promised; dry, but resonates on the sides of the tongue...TASTE: a sweet, citric, slightly peppery mixture that creates a textured though soft experience; slight banana and pear; some doughy biscuit suggests the malt late ... OVERALL: mellow and fruity in places, but not a pilsner that ranks highly in my regards with others; a bit of lemon late gives some profile to a Victory beer that is not quite up to the Victory name; still, a beer whose alcohol is balanced with its flavor and drink ability...

Pours a clean golden, with nice white head of foam. Light wisp of lace.

Nose is crisp malts and a touch of lemony hops. Nice.

Taste is sharp and punchy up front, but smoothed out by a firm malt character. The zesty lemon hops are prominent and add a perfect counterbalance for the grainy lager character. A delicious beer! Prost!
