Thanks go out to my buddy Chris for letting me borrow his growler and picking me up this treat so that I could take it out to Trey's for a little tasting that we decided to throw together last minute. Poured into a pint glass.

Crisp and clear, the body is hazed only by plentiful streamers that spring from hundreds of nucleation sites around the glass. There is a thick and creamy head that forms and bubbles up to an inch in height before subsiding to about a half cm. It then sits there for the entire length of time it takes me to drink the entire beer, leaving thick rings of foam around the glass after every sip.

The aroma is more Czech pils to me, as this is crisp and grassy with a good amouth of Saaz stank. There is a supple and crisp malt backbone that is evident here, though it does stay mostly hidden behind the dank bitterness of the hops.

That malty note that manifested itself in the aroma? Fuggetaboutit. This beer really lets the hops shine in every aspect. Flavorful, with a huge grassy presence and a great balance of bitterness to match. Nary an off flavor, this is what a pilsener should be.

Light and well carbonated, and maybe just a touch too much so, Braumeister pils is another standout pilsner from Victory Brewing Company. This just further solidifies them as the best pils brewer in the country, and ranks them high worldwide, I would say.

Had on tap at a beer picnic at B.Paradiso in Georgetown. Best drink of the night. It's slightly hazy, straw yellow with good lacing, and a small head that fades. Nose is yeasts and barny sweet malts with earthy moss. Taste is mild hops, sweet with hints of fruit, and peat from a bog. Exceptional example of the style. Mouthfeel is good, a bit foamy. Drinkability is very high. Nice beer from Victory!

I had this at Brass Rail Deli in Campbelltown. Served chilled in a pint.

A - A straw golden w/ ghostly white cap of 1/2 inch. Nice transparency and lace collects in a stringy fashion

S - Herbs and floral notes from the noble hops. Spiced and mellow honey ginger like aroma w/ a biscuit note in the background.

M - Crisp w/ spiced notes matching each mild malt nuance in the texture w/ a crisp citrus undercurrent and light alcohol until the clean dry and mildly bitter finish

T - A light herbal taste as the flavors begin w/ a light biscuit note and gentle citrusy splash. Mild mineral taste carries the fresh hop flavor while the cracker like malt accents the spicy, mildly grassy taste. The malt gives a dry taste and accents the light bitterness of the hops which provide a lot of flavor in the Pils. The herbal taste is slightly lemony yet not astringent-more juicy w/out being overly so. A taste of german yeast leads the hops into the finish

D - A great pils in every way, very fresh like few I have tasted -top notch German style lager from Victory, does not fail to deliver at all. The lasting hop in the finish is great.

A: It's cloudy light yellow in appearance with no visible head.
S: There are moderate aromas of grassy and earthy hops in the nose.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell; flavors of grassy hops stand out.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and crisp with a light amount of carbonation. There is some dryness in the finish.
D: Like Prima Pils, this beer is very refreshing and easy to drink, but the use of a single variety of hops makes it taste a bit different.

A - Golden with vigorous carbonation and fluffy mountainous head.

S - Flowery, lemony, with noble hop aroma.

T - Hoppiness dominates at front middle and end. Underneath are fantastic if subtle notes of grass, flowers, metal, lemon . . . brilliant.

M - Wonderful hop bite stings the tongue and demands relief . . . with another sip. Big full pils.

D - Hop dominance keeps it from being highly drinkable yet very enjoyable and interesting.

I had this on-tap at Pizza Paradiso in Old Town Alexandria.

A: Poured a crayon yellow, with a good amount of chill haze muddying the brew. The head was about a finger or so and gave me goosebumps just staring at it.

S: Whoa.... I got the Victory hop profile in spades right off the bat. Yeasty, slightly malty, and with a slight sourness.

T: Like I stated before, there was a bit of the Victory sourness here... along with their malt and hop profile

M: The carbonation was perfect... as with most Victory brews. Also, the lacing was ridiculous, along with the bitter afterbite... white was substantial,

O: I personally thought this was excellent. Victory really rises to the occasion sometimes.
