On tap at the House of Brews. Clear yellow body. Big white head with great retention. Smells of doughy pilsner malts. A little bit of brett. Not much by way of hops. At least, not that's pushing past the malt and brett. Tastes way more bretty here. Kinda dominates. I get some grassy hops here, though. Kinda blend in with the spicy brett finish. Very dry, but a bit of pilsner malt peeks through the bitter finish. Medium light body. An interesting take on the style. I think it's the first brett pilsner I've had.

Pale gold, bright clarity. Dense cap of foam, arcs of sticky lacing. Restrained but expressive Brett aroma, floral botanicals, wet hay and light yeasty funk. Clean pils malt behind that.

Taste is crisp and clean, lightly bitter with a grassy noble hop bitterness. Mild wet hay Brett note, again it's restrained and not overly dominant. Light bodied and well balanced, there's a nice structure to it.

I'm in the camp that the reviews are misunderstood here. This is a great use of Brett, allowing the well crafted Pilsner to shine through and integrate with mild yet defined elements from the wild yeast.

Not bad, but the problem with adding brett to any beer is that the other characteristics get overwhelmed by the brett, and you just have a clean-bodied beer (as in this case) with a murky flavor. Maybe more hops would have helped.
