On the right side of the label in small white text: "ENJOY BY: 19 JUN 2017"

Appearance: The body is a light gold color that is very hazy and has numerous small black suspended solids. The head is a short white layer of white foam leaving a short-lived lace along the glass.

Aroma: It has a strong aroma of both pine and grapefruit. While dwelling on the surface of the beer for a bit to pick up more aroma I started to smell lime. It is an excellent scent that would win over any hop lover.

Taste: A strong pine flavor mixed with lime comes out right away. It is a very sharp and clear pair of flavors. The pine lingers through to the end of the beer and gives it this refreshingly crisp mountain pine character at the end with just a touch of a minty finish.

Mouthfeel: Very crisp and enjoyable with a clean character. After seeing the suspended black dots I was wondering how clean the beer would feel but it does feel very crisp and clean.

Overall: It is a very enjoyable beer and it is makes me want to go out and get some more. Given the chance I would buy it again. I would recommend buying it if you enjoy a pine-centric IPA. I would recommend that even if you are not fond of pine that you give it a shot because the clean and crisp flavors of the beer are very refreshing. If this is what Victory puts out for their birthday, I'm hoping everyday is a birthday at Victory.

Looks unimpressive- Pale, slightly fizzy gold with minimal head but ample carbonation. Smells of cracker, grain, and moderate hops. This carries through on taste, with some definite pine and some citrus hops. Feels thin but crisp. A wonderfully crisp, sessionable fairly low abv IPA. Well done again, Victory.

The straw colored beer leaves little to no head nor lacing however this is no macro. The smell suggests one thing giving quite a bit of pizazz but the taste suggests differently - very sour (like so many beers I've had today - 6). Some noticeable yeast in this despite it being an obvious IPA. Lots of grapefruit as well as a lemon grass that is bitter in a rindy type of way that you can feel in your teeth. The smell almost hints towards some kind of weird depth but is (bitterly) more of a lemon tart. Dry finish through and through. I've had a lot of really nice Victory offerings (Dire Wolf, and then more recently even a winter Hefeweizen). This is nothing too special though, not sure what happened. Had until June to enjoy it by! Oh well, it's just one beer. Can't just chug through this one haha. Too crisp.

The beer was a hazy gold color with a small white head. I got a bit of lace with my pour.
Floral and citrus aroma. Sweet malt.
Taste of orange, grapefruit, and pine.
A middle of the road IPA.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy light yellow gold with a big fluffy white head that retains well and leaves little lacing.

The aroma is sweet bready malt and tropical fruit with light resiny hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malt with some fruit and a slightly harsh resiny hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a decent IPA but with an odd finish.

On tap in Greenville SC in a Gouden Carolus glass.

Clear golden body with a fine white head.
Aroma: citrus, other tropical fruits and pine.
Nicely hoppy flavor that has moderate-mild bitterness and good complexity, although grapefruit notes dominate. The body is a bit too thin but works OK with the medium+ carbonation and semi-dry finish.

Overall: flavorful IPA.

Victory Brewing Co. "21st Birthday IPA"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle, "ENJOY BY: 06 JUN 2017" and sampled on 22 FEB 2017
$2 @ Wegmans, Collegeville, PA

Notes via stream of consciousness: Slightly hazy golden body - hopefully from dry-hopping - beneath a thick head of frothy white foam. Very good head retention and lacing. The aroma is floral, herbal, grassy, and lightly citrusy. It's bright and welcoming. The flavor follows suit. The malt is grainy and delicately biscuit-like, and supports the hops with a gentle sweetness. The hops remain grassy, herbal, floral and lightly citrusy, but there's also a note of pine, mainly in the lingering finish. A solid bitterness balances, and it finishes dry and bitter. Medium-light in body and gently crisp then smooth across the tongue. A completely solid, flawless beer that you'd expect from Victory but it doesn't have the magic that some of their beers achieve.

L: Very clear yellow. Not much head. It recedes. Leaves some lacing.

S: Cirus hops. Grapefruit, ornage peel, lemon.

T: Grapefruit and a pine bitterness. Some biscuit malts.

F: Light body, moderate;y carbonated.

O: Packs more hops punch than it looks. Quite hoppy. Well done.

Pours an effervescent fold with a thumb of pearl colored head. Great lacing & head retention

S: Piney & citrus

T: Tangerine, grassyness, & dryness up front, along with grapefruit pith. Drymess, a little pear, grapefruit & breadyness as this warms. Finishes with grapefruit dryness & pomelo

MF: Medium body, moderate carbonation , good balance

Decent IPA, was expecting better, but drinks plenty easy

Poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a golden dark yellow to light pale orange color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Some light lace ran here and there.
The aroma pulled together some pine needles, spicy hop oils, semi-grassy hop tones, danky fresh scent and ended with a little bit of tropical fruit (very subtle).
The flavor was moderately sweet and pulled that dankiness in with the spicy hops a bit tighter and seemed to kick the tropical sweetness further to the back. This tropical sweetness blended with the dankiness in the aftertaste fairly nice.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt on par. Nice little touch of hop oils soothe my tongue to create just a touch of acceptable stickiness. Nice mostly smooth to oily finish.
Overall, very nicely done AIPA well worthy of coming back to.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of pineapple, citrus. Taste is citrus, pine, pineapple, mild bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer, but I expect better from this fine brewery, it doesn't stand out among the many IPA's out there.

Pours a golden yellow with light to moderate haze and a billowing creamy white head that clings to the glass. Aromas of pine resins, earth, citrus and a touch of malty honey. Bitter hops and herbal flavors dominate the palate along with grassy, pine and citrus notes and just enough malt to provide a balance. Nice mouthfeel, low medium body and pleasantly mild carbonation. Overall a solid and interesting IPA.
