Beautiful upwardly cascading foamy head. I wish all beers used nitrogen. Long lasting off-white head. Very tight, minute bubbles. Dark brown liquid but light does shine through.

Creamy smell. No harsh burnt aromas. Very mild.

There's a bit of a berry taste to the deeply roasted malts. This would be a mellow dry stout for the Irish. It's good but certainly not bold flavor wise. Some cream. The body is neutral for the style and the "carbonation" is high for a nitro.

Served on nitro-tap at Barcade in Jersey City, NJ

A: Pours a clear but opaque jet black in color with some very light notes of gentle visible carbonation near the surface of the beer and faint dark cola brown highlights. The beer has a half finger tall dense foamy mocha head that slowly reduces to a thick film covering the entire surface of the beer with a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of roasted dark malts with some light notes of chocolate.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of roasted dark malts that are followed by some light to moderate notes of semi-sweet chocolate. Light amounts of bitterness that fades quickly. Overall I would describe the flavor of the beer as lightly sweet.

M: Just heavier than light bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth and creamy. Hints of dryness in the finish.

O: An easy drinking session stout, especially on nitro tap as that makes the body lighter and creamier. Nice complexity of flavors without a heavy amount of alcohol.
