Very Good
Cloud WalkerCloud Walker
Notes: Soaring far beyond hazy, this dry-hopped hazy juicy IPA explodes as tropical and fruity elements float through cloudy formations to elevate hops to the highest pedestal. With its expert dosing of oats, wheat and lactose, Cloud Walker delivers a pillowy soft mouthfeel showcasing an opaque, orangey-blonde color. Cloud Walker is dry-hopped with Citra and Mosaic, making it juicy as it explodes with tropical and fruity hop notes.

Composition

Malt: 2-Row Pale, Oats, Wheat

Hops: Citra, Mosaic

Pours an opaque dark straw hue. Huge Mosaic and Citra hop aromas bring tropical pineapple, citrus, and stone fruit aromatics. Flavor is fruity, rich and is backed by a pillowy malty sweetness. The hops spill out throughout this beer but the bitterness is balanced by the residual lactose.

Nice cloudy gold with a good sized head and some lacing on the surface. Smell is pretty typical NEIPA- juicy, muted tropical fruit. Taste is similar. Somewhat muted, fruity hops mild sweetness, a little pleasant bitterness rounded. Medium bodied and very drinkable. Good and solid NEIPA.

Great Brewer and a very nice beverage ... A little too sweet for me, but looks and smells purty ... Came as part of a 15 can variety pack

Victory has a few duds in its lineup…this isn’t one of them. Solid beer

Pours a thin straw color with some good head.

Aroma is straight citrus hops, oily resin, orange, pine

Bitterness comes in off the get go, oily in the mouth, orange rind, pineapple.

Very solid IPA

This one pours a hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like grassy and piney hops, pineapple, orange, and grapefruit.

This definitely feels an old school, old money brewery's take on a hazy IPA. They didn't go all the way to full murktown here, as there is still some pleasant bitterness here. There's no malt character, with some decently citrusy hop character.

This is light bodied, clean, and very crisp, with a very nice drinkability.

I don't have much Victory anymore, but it's nice to see they're still making tasty beers, even ones outside of their wheelhouse.

Poured 12 oz very cold can into shaker pint. Golden in color with a definite orange tinge. Very thin head (due to temp?) . Citrusy smell and flavor. Good mouthfeel (due to oats?) . Well balanced, not to bitter tasting. An aftertaste, due to dry hops?). Very decent hazy beer. My current favorite of this type is Hazy Jane. I would like to try Cloud Walker on tap for a fair comparison.

7/9/20...pours hazy and clouded gold with a foamy white layer. Quite juicy. Tropical fruits poke through. Citrus rind bomb to open. Oranges and lemon. Latent bitter lurks. Quite nice.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank ripe fruit and melon notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tropical fruit presence and slight bitter hop finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

A: Dense and hazy orange juice has a large, fluffy off white head that was 2-3 fingers with some bubbly texture atop. Head retention was strong, > 4min. leaving a generous proportion of lace deposit on the vessel walls. Quick paced and fairly dense carbonation factor.

S: Spicy citric grapefruit-orange blossoms upon the first release. Peaches and watermelon are secondary. Tart, flowery edge of hop leafs and bitter dry orange peel softly finishes out. Good strength overall, as well mixture, wet fruitiness, with a soft dry grassy hop fade. Nice overall tone, even, and lingers quite a bit.

T: Tart oranges and dry pineapple-peach starts the flavor with a huge overlay of grassy hop bitterness. A tongue smacking delight, in your face start that provides a huge raw citrusy start, but progressively smooths out over the course. Nice grassy hop highlights, resiny pine, and spicy herbal along with some melon-apple fruitiness.

M: Nice grainy base, wheat like summer beer, medium body, with some doughy texture. A bit dry after feel, some powdery hop dust coats the tongue.

O: From the early days of Hop Devil, Victory shows they can evolve with the times, a big in your face New England style ipa, juicy and raw, with a grassy bitterness for balance. An in your face assault, of whirlpool hops and dry hop fade. Great drinkability, strong start and lasting finish.

APPEARANCE: Hazy golden amber, with a huge off-white head. Average lace.

AROMA: Crisp tropical fruit wit pineapple, mango, citrus notes. Very nice!

TASTE: Tropical fruit juicy hops all over the palate here, with no trace of bitterness. This is almost a sweetly fruity IPA. Impressive and quite drinkable.
