A - Pretty dark, but not like an RIS or something. More like a dark, well steeped and completely translucent ice tea. Head wasn't much of a factor after about a minute. The head actually "crested" at about 3/4" and quickly disappeared.

S - Very nice with a caramel thing happening under the relatively docile and citrusy hoppiness.

T - Much like the nose, a relaxed hop bitterness gives way to a roasted malt caramel taste. Very pleasant and no booziness did I detect at all. Very nice beer

M - Smooth, medium carbonation and not much aftertaste.

I thoroughly enjoyed this beer and plan on having more. Soon.

I had this on tap and found it to be a very good beer. I think I liked the bottle even better. A little darker than i expected but overall a great beer. Good aroma, great flavor, very impressive mouthfeel and quite drinkable, particularly for a beer with that abv.

This unique brew definitely does stand on the fence between a Dubbel and an Imperial IPA.... However, I must emphasize the hop content is certainly apparent and strongly overrides the malts... A highly drinkable brew for such an elevated abv...
another hit from Victory....

A-Pours the color of grade a maple syrup with an inch of foamy tan head. Leaves moderate lacing.

S-Light roasted malts, a little nutty. Similar to Kostritzer.

T/M-Astringent bittering hops up front. Roasty malts, almonds, pecans. The finish is dry and aggressively bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

D-A decent release from Victory, but not one of their best. It would be hard to drink a 6 pack of this.

Pour was a dark ruddy brown with two fingers of light beige head. Good amount of lacing. Nose was powerful citrusy hops, floral bouquet, malt, and a bit of pine. Taste was strong hops, but the malt and citrus mellowed the burst. Very drinkable with nice palate.
