April, 2010 rate from the brewpub.

Pours a medium light gold. I was told this was one of the lighter Belgian-style ales but I quickly noticed the mistake and took appropriate measures, ensuring that the waitress was fired on the spot and the bartender suspended without pay. Much less dry and subtle than the other Belgian CBC offerings, with a richer and more fruity quality. Some light tropical fruit. Not my favorite style from Victory, but it was fine.

Stopped by the brewpub on 17APR10 with Caitlin for some lunch and biers. They only had 23 on tap! Damn, what options! Ended up giving this one-off a shot. Got a 0.5l serving sent my way...

My glass was full of a clear, medium-golden brew. Steady carbo was ascending towards a fluffy, creamy, white head. Great lacing was attached to the glass sides. Candy sugar was present in the nose, along with suggestions of spiciness and fruit. No probs with the mouthfeel, as it was fairly smooth and easily a medium body-wise.

Crisp pale malts first hit the palate, being crackery and a touch biscuity. Light tropical fruit flavors are present, with more candy sugar, too. Hopping here is grassy and slightly herbal, with more hints of spiciness. All this tastiness lingers decently in this solid Tripel. Also, after having a St. Boisterous, Caitlin opted for one of these and enjoyed it very much as well. Prosit!!
