The beer comes in a straw clear color with a decently sized head.

The aroma has a sweet corny grain aroma. It’s quite sweet. It’s a bit floral.

The flavor follows with that sweetness, but not cloying and quite crisp with its gentle pilsner malts. It’s very light on its body. Then there is a bit of a citrus and grapefruit bitterness at the end. The surprise is the citrus that comes in the finish that does not come through on the aroma.

I didn’t go crazy for it, but it’s quite a delicious and flavorful summer beer. Recommended.

Pours a very pale golden yellow color with a one finger white foam head that has good retention, slowly fading into a lasting cap.

Earthy floral hop aroma with hints of grass, straw, hay and pale malt. Subtle spice along with some crisp, light and citrus fruit.

Medium bodied with a good balance of floral, bitter hops, pale malt, spice and fruit notes. Crisp hop bite up front that provides some dry bitterness and compliments the earthy grass and straw notes. This is countered by the sweet malt and hints of apple, pear and lemon. Well balanced and easy to drink, especially during the warmer months. I was a little nervous by the initial appearance but this beer is pretty complex and flavorful. Pretty nice for this time of year.

Poured from bottle into pint glass

Appearance – Pours a lighter golden color with a nice billowy white head. The head has a moderate amount of lacing and leave a medium level of lacing on the glass.

Smell – The aroma is mainly of a lighter bready nature with some lemon citrus and a light pine hop aroma.

Taste – The taste begins almost entirely malt based. Flavors of bread and biscuit are on the tongue. Hop flavors then start working their way into the taste. It begins with some citrus and then some pine begins working its way into the flavor. The taste overall is more on the dry side and makes for some easy drinking slightly bitter flavors.

Mouthfeel – The body is on the lighter to medium side with the carbonation level being just slightly above average. Both make it very drinkable and enjoyable.

Overall – A good session brew that is easy to drink while hanging out and sitting around with friends or just watching the game on TV.

Almost a half finger of head on a clear, golden colored body.
The aroma is bright grapefruit and lemon.
The taste has a sharp lime bitter beginning and then mellows to the finish.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
It has great bitterness for a blond ale. Tasty.

Biscuity, with a hint of fruity, grassy, and floral hops. Looks brilliant in the glass, billowing head with a clear gold body. Dry finish, overall a solid example of the style and very fitting for the season.

Appearance: Golden color with a good head of foam and decent lacing. Lots of carbonation.

Smell: Yeast, floral hops, a hint of citrus.

Taste: Malt, floral hops, lemon zest, and some grassiness.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with just a touch of hop bitterness in the finish.

The Verdict: Good beer. Basically a well-hopped lager. It’s tough to find Victory out here on the left coast, so naturally I had to snap it up. I miss their V12s and pale ales.

12oz. Brown Bottle. Enjoy By on Bottle.

A: Pours a clear bright gold. Medium creamy white head. Small to zero retention,
with little lacing.

S: Floral hops. Spices. Wheat. Grains. Tea. Honey.

T/M: Hops. Bitter and spicy. Malts are grainy. Light citrus, orange and grapefruit.
Starts sweet then turns bitter with hops and spices. Has a cream feel at first but
the spices and hops soon take over making the feel more dry and bitter.

O: This Blonde Ale is leaning towards an IPA. Needs a lighter body if it wants to be
considered more than an average summer ale. It's still easy enough to drink on
those hot summer days. Taste is good.

Cheers!

A: Clear, light golden, not much carbonation - fairly boring looking actually.
S: Slight grapefruit, some sweetness there maybe, not bad aroma, again, not incredibly interesting.
T: Light and crisp, same light grapefruit flavor, maybe some lemon, maybe some orange, mild but certainly present bitterness, some biscuity flavors, honeyed sweetness. Refreshing and drinkable. I like this, not super interesting, but a solid hoppy beer that doesn't slam you with bitterness. The hop flavor is a bit on the pedestrian side though.
M: Dry, a bit more carbonated than I originally thought. It is what it should be.
O: I like this beer and wil enjoy drinking it in the summer - hence the love...

Very different for a summer ale. It's a bit heavier with a malt forward that is typical to regular ales. It has an almost salty end to it. I like the complexity of this summer choice.
