12 oz. bottle poured into nonic
(enjoy by 8 Sept. 2015 printed on label)

L: clear yellow, very pale and misty-looking despite being quite clear; thick head of white foam about 1-inch tall off a hard pour, shrinks down quickly but keeps a full cap of soapy thick foam with a triple-thick collar; some sticking but no lacing

S: sweet grain, corn, creamed corn; sour grain takes over a lot of the sweetness; as I get 1/3 in, the hop notes begin showing up, very light grassiness, green onion, maybe a bit of black pepper

T: damn ... very grainy and very bitter for the style, a hop-bite of impressive proportion tasting like earth/dirt and maybe a pinch of pepper; the bitterness is stout and lingers well into the aftertaste; very little of the sweet/creamed corn aroma in the flavor at first, but as it warms, the sweetness begins showing through, almost into a bready malt flavor; about 1/3 into it, the American hops begin kicking in a faint citrus note (lemon, lime)

F: fantastic ... light, crisp and easy going down; not watery despite being very, very light

O: the hoppiest blonde ale I've tried so far with a hop bite formidable up front and in the back end; the IBU number for this is likely low, but it comes off as a 60-70+ IBU brew ... with such a light malt profile, the hops really shine here, and the Tettnang hops really tame the American Simcoe and Citra and mix into a floral yet still very Old World taste. One of the best summer seasonals I've come across.

Very different for a summer ale. It's a bit heavier with a malt forward that is typical to regular ales. It has an almost salty end to it. I like the complexity of this summer choice.

L: Pours straw gold with a slight haze and a thin white foam collar.
S: Has a real fresh cut grass to wet hay nose with some graham cracker and ligh fruit.
T: Very crisp with a big fresh light malt palate. Spicy, herbasl with some caramel and light biscuit to light cracker in the background and then it presents some tropical fruit with some melon.
F: Refreshing, above carbonation and medium light body.
O: A sessionable refreshing full flavored beer that is easy to drink a lot of.

Pours out a slightly cloudy pale gold with a thinner cap of lightly foamy white head. There is decent retention and small amounts of small sticky lacing. The aroma is mild with some light biscuit malts and earthy hops. The taste is much more present and it reminds of a pilsner brewed with ale yeast. There are strong grassy and earthy hops but an equally robust bready quality balances it and comes out on the finish. A nice light, crisp body with a little hops bite on the finish and decent carbonation.

EBD 8/18/15. Clear golden pour. Normal head volume, lacing and retention.

Outstanding light nose of tropical and floral hops (mango, orange, pear) with a touch of spice (pepper) over a mild biscuit. As it warms, a bit of earthy hops also appear.

Heavy light body that is smooth textured, but has a slight oily aspect as well. Above normal carbonation with a good effervescence in the middle and a fairly prickly finish.

Quite flavorful for a blond ale, the outstanding flavor profile is intense, somewhat complex and nicely balanced. It begins to separate in the effervescent middle yielding a blend of hop flavors detailed in the nose. The bitterness is mild and only hints at a rind quality. As the hop flavor subsides, a mild biscuit arrives to balance coupled with a subtle pepper flavor. The finish is a slow mild bitterness fade of orange rind.

12 oz bottle from Fresh Market. Solid blonde, excellent easy drinking summer beer. Good for what it is.

This is a really nice summer brew. Almost no smell, but some lingering flavor. Light, but not without taste.

Very nice sessionable summer ale. I was recently given a six back from a friend from Philly and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this beer.

It's not a crazy flavor profile that will make you ponder each ingredient, but it's by no means one note, either. Plenty of nuance from the grass and citrus. Incredibly drinkable, and exactly what I want for some pool-side or beach drinking this summer.
