With the sublime, earthy familiarity of noble European hops backed up by fresh, clean German malts, Summer Love Ale ends with a surprising burst of lemony refreshment from fistfuls of American whole flower hops. Love Summer, now.

Have had many times, most recently at D&T in Houston.

A: Pours a perfectly clear straw yellow color. At first a two finger white head forms, and recedes in a minute. Light lace is left.
S: Light biscuit malts up front. Then a bit of sweet malts, and lingering bitter and grassy hops.
T: Some caramel sweetness, some biscuit malts, plenty of lingering bitterness. Grassy, floral, lightly spicy. The bitterness is just a bit to abrasive and strong for me though
M/D: A light body with nice carbonation. Fairly smooth at the same time. Not hard to drink. I can put a few away in a sitting.

Not bad at all, but I find the bitterness a bit strong for my tastes. A good summer beer, but not one of my favorites from this brewery.

12oz. Brown Bottle. Enjoy By on Bottle.

A: Pours a clear bright gold. Medium creamy white head. Small to zero retention,
with little lacing.

S: Floral hops. Spices. Wheat. Grains. Tea. Honey.

T/M: Hops. Bitter and spicy. Malts are grainy. Light citrus, orange and grapefruit.
Starts sweet then turns bitter with hops and spices. Has a cream feel at first but
the spices and hops soon take over making the feel more dry and bitter.

O: This Blonde Ale is leaning towards an IPA. Needs a lighter body if it wants to be
considered more than an average summer ale. It's still easy enough to drink on
those hot summer days. Taste is good.
