If Victory was to make a "lawnmower" beer this would be it. Total thirst quencher. A high degree of drink-ability. Perfect for a hot mid summer cool down. Yes, it's an ale but compared to Victory's other offerings thus beer is muted which will make it appealing to the lager crowds and dare I say even the mainstream Budweiser swilling types.

Really simple, I like this beer. It's pour, it's smell and it's taste. It is to me what a American summer ale should taste like. Nice job Victory. Hard to find here in northeast Ohio so I bought all they had which was basically a case. Ordering me some more though. Have others to try though but will gladly nurse these.

Poured bottle into glass. 5.2% abv

Appearance- Light yellow with a bubbly 2 finger head. Quite clear.

Smell- A blend of sweet malt along with lemon.

Taste- A sourbread-like malt flavor that has some soapiness quality about it. The hints of lemon citrus from the nose follow into the taste. The flavor ends with hop bitterness and some pepper like spice as well. The malt is strong as it even is there in the finish. Much more malty than hoppy but this is as it should be for the style.

Mouthfeel- Thin to medium and dry. The carbonation makes this beer alive on the palate.

Overall- Not too much unlike a German pilsener but has qualities of an ale to it such a the hops on the back end of the taste. As being new to the blond ale style, I thought this was refeshing due to the thinner body and lemon zest it has to it. I thought the malt up front was a bit bland however, though that does not detract too much from it. Not a bad offering from Victory.
