This pours a clear golden color with not much of a head that quickly dissipates...piney, crisp, lemony taste that is refreshing...OK, not great

This one pours a clear golden color with a nice finger and a half of soapy white head comprised of large bubbles.

Smell is piney fresh with a lemon like citrus scent coming out from the beer.

The taste really follows the nose with that light lemon with a hint of pine bitters.

The mouth is fairly light with a bit of a wet finish.

Overall this would make for a refreshing summer beer. With a low ABV if this was to be found in a nice six pack capacity this would qualify as a craft lawnmower beer. Maybe even paired with a nice light salad I can see this beer pulling that off nicely.

12oz. can served in a shaker pint. Pours a bright, sunny gold with a creamy, half inch, tight, bright white head. A significant amount of effervescence is present cascading from the base of the glass to the bottom of the cap. Nose is clean and subdued - hints of grassy and earthy notes. Taste follows nose - clean and crackers. Mouthfeel is light in body with a bright carbonation and a semi-dry finish. Overall - simple, clean and lacking complexity but spot on for the style and would pair well with food (e.g. burgers, wings, pizza, etc.).

12 oz. Bottle

I must admit, I really enjoy the simple golden ale's of summer. Something refreshing and tasty.

Straight gold color, good carbonation creates and supports a well retained white foam cap. Decent lace and constant coverage.

The aroma has a very nice, mildly fruity hop thing happening. Light, snappy and slightly sweet malt mixed with some light, lemmon and citrus hop effect as well.

The flavor of this blonde or golden ale has more complexity than your average version. A snappy, super crisp and clean mouthfeel and taste has the malt hitting you first. A few layers of sweet corn, golden wheat and barley are very up front. But, the hops are not to be outshined. German Tettanang and American whole cone flowers give a much more robust and complex hop edge. Big, earthy, grassy, herbal hops come forward from the Greman side, then very light and juicy, zesty fruits hit you American style. Mostly earthy and herbal, grainy flavor's pop out most with a decent, dry-earthy bitterness in the finish

My favorite aspects are the very lively and jazzy mouthfeel, super light body with an almost unreal flavor complexity for the style. The blend and unique earthy flavor's from the hops goes beyond what is expected. The malt is high quality and delivers excellent base flavor's and balance.

Snag one for the pool side party, snag one for the long hike but make sure you take time to ponder the subtle comlexity.

Fantastic for the type of beer that it is. It is a German style brewed by an ale. And it is a surprising success. I was scared at the name. I bought a 12 pack, because the mix pack 12 pack was sold out. But this is an extra pale ale and it is a rare and exemplary find of this style of ale. It has that superb refreshing crispness, like you get with the finest lagers, but also at the same time, you get the wonderful fulless of a quality light ale. That's it, that sums it up for me. Best served at 40 deg F. It is a style found in remote parts of England and it makes sense that Victory is one of my favorite breweries, ever since I lived in Philadelphia.

Wonderfully clean noble hop/citrus hop combo. Exceptionally refreshing with solid malt backbone. Dig it, this beer should get more respect; the IPA only crowd may not approve.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance has a yellow/orange colored body that yielded a soft white fizzy one finger head that died within twenty seconds. A very light spotty lacing was left with no rings. Fast rising carbonation was seen. The smell was centered around the hops and grass. Some light citrus and caramel came out as the beer warmed. The taste was exactly the same as the smell, nothing different. The palate was light with a decent amount of carbonation felt and it almost came out a bit too harsh. There was a bitter finish. This was very drinkable. Overall, I liked this, I would definitely get it again.
