Bottle shared by Lee – thanks!
Pours a clear golden color with a white head that leaves decent lacing.
Smells of light malts with good amounts of pears, green apples, and white pepper. Also present are hints of musty hops.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Crisp light malts up front are joined quickly by ripe pear flavors. Midway through white pepper and hints of other indistinct spices come into play before they’re tempered by earthy and slightly musty hops. The hops carry through to a mildly bitter ending. Mouthfeel is good, with active carbonation.
Overall I think this beer was more crisp than the saison that is now retired. It could use some refinement but is worth a shot how it is if you see it around.

A: Pours a yellow color with loads of head - easily a couple of fingers. Head disappates but does keep a layer on top. Chunky lacing on the glass.
S: Spicy, citrusy aroma.
T: Really quality Saison and reminds me a lot of their Saison du Buff - good garden spice, grass, citrus. Really refreshing yet loads of body.
M: Creamy yet light.
O: Awesome brew and great this one is brewed regularly.
