A: A deep, gorgeous orange caramel. There's a pretty good amount of yeast and a solid head as well. An absolutely intriguing brew.

S: Not a whole lot coming through the nose, but it's pretty good. There's a hint of booze, and some solid belgian something-or-other, but nothing coming through that strongly.

T: Whoa. Delectable. I'm really glad I waited before opening this one, but it still could have used some time. A great combination of sweet Belgian, dark fruit, and a wee bit o' spice. Definitely one of the better quads I've had.

M: Nice and chewy. It has nice heft, but with a nice and smooth finish. The carb is nice, but I wish I had left this sucker in the bottle for another year because it still has some heat.

O: Mmm tasty. When all is said and done, I have to knock this beer down because it's still a little too hot, but I would LOVE to get my hands on another bottle to sit on. Kudos to Victory.

Poured into a snifter, thanks to mjyoung for sharing this one!

A - Pretty deep orange amber color with a thin layer of head.

S - Relatively strong belgian yeast aroma accompanied with some fruity esters.

T - Complex fruit and caramel flavors with a boozy. finish. Goes down with tons of alcohol warmth.

M - Medium carbonation. Full bodied.

O - One of the boozier beers I have had, but overall still a pleasant beer.

Poured into an 20 oz Victory tulip.

A: A deep amber red with a glowing orangish hue. Hazy looking body with the slightest transparency. Head is a dirty white color with bubbly carbonation, does not stay around for long but comes back with a quick swish. Carbonation looks inviting.

S: Aroma of a Dubbel with rich Belgian yeast notes, sharp fruity tartness , mild alcohol presence and undertones of banana and spice.

T: Taste like raspberries heavily sprinkled in sugar. Extremely mild alcohol presence. Very potent Belgian yeast finish without being too dominant.

M: Warm, bubbley and lively carbonation make the ride down the pallet very smooth. Lingers like cough medicine, my mouth actually feels slightly numb from the alcohol but not in a boozy sense.

O: 12 oz is plenty for an enjoyable drinking experience. Easy to take a nice hefty, delicious swig to take in all the flavors and then come back to it a warm 20 minutes later to find the flavors have only enhanced. Well Done:)

Very nice Quad.

Appearance: Pours a dark amber. Nice looking off-white head.

Smell: Boozy. The alcohol is dominant along with dark fruit. Subtle candy sugar.

Taste: Very nice. Estery fruit is dominant. Alcohol is present, but not offensive. There are subtle notes of pear. Finishes dry. I like this. A good beer to sit and sip.

Mouthfeel: Medium body. Heavy, but not quite syrup-like. I enjoy the way it plays on the tongue.

Overall: I was surprised by this. Quadrupels aren't necessarily my favorite style, but I really enjoyed this beer. Thank you, Victory.
