Poured into a pilsner glass.

A- Pours a straw golden color. A little bit hazy, and pours a nice and thick 2 finger head. Some lacing and a good deal of carbonation. Looks nice. (3.7)

S- Earthy yeast and fruit aromas. Maybe a slight hint of spice. Not terribly complex but nonetheless decent. (3.35)

T- The taste is bright and fruity. Some of that earthy yeast is present, as is a very light caramel note from the malt. Just a slight hop bitterness to round it out. Refreshing and quite nice. (3.55)

M- Lots of carbonation and very light. Perhaps a bit too thin, but it is very drinkable and crisp. (3.5)

O- Certainly fits the billing of a session saison. Could easily drink a few of these on a sunny spring or summer day. I wish it had more complexity, but it is a reasonable interpretation of the style that successfully represents even with the low ABV. (3.52)

05/14/14 On tap. Be aware of the peppercorns that meet you at the door. In tandem w/the lemon this is a perfect match for a few chicken skewers, on a bed of spinach with a crumble of blue cheese. If you don't have the facilities to do this yourself, go straight to your friendly local & demand they support your research & get on it. Ever had a lemon-pepper chicken dish? Or used a lemon-pepper seasoning in a salad? Well here's your old friend...in a glass. A word to the wise is sufficient. PS it's way session-able, so grab a 6 & fire up the coals.

A: Clear and watery

S: The worst smelling beer I have ever smelt. It smelt of oil and plastic, I literally could not believe what I was smelling.

T: The taste followed the smell and I felt as though I had just drank melted plastic with oil. As the beer warmed up there was a definite increase in the peppercorn taste.

M: Thin and watery.

O: I can safely say this was the worst beer I've ever had. I'm not sure if this was a skunk batch or what, but I could not believe Victory would release a beer like that.
