Canned 10/29/15; drank 2/7/16 @ the Yarchives.

Semi-opaque pale orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a HUGE eggshell head; frothy lace.

Pineapple & faint pine needle notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Spring water, pineapple & faint pine needle flavors up front; mild caramel & faint mint notes on the finish.

Watery, but decent enough.

16oz draft pour into a mug shows a cloudy but bright, orange-ish copper body and floats a persistent 1/8in head of soapy bubbles leaving erratic lacing.

Aroma is fruit and bitter hops.

Flavor matches with touches of pineapple, pine resin, citrus rind, and cracker malt.

Mouthfeel is a sticky medium leaning full, but a clean finish.

Overall a local west coast classic.

16oz, "cans man" 07/06/17
A - frothy ivory head caps a hazy caramel colored ale
S - juicy zesty hops with mango & pine, orange & grapefruit zest
T - huge hop bitterness with pungent earthy pine, grapefruit zest and pith, a bit of fruity mango and orange, caramel malt and toasty grain provide some residual sweetness
M - medium body, very resinous, hop oils stick to the palate creating bitterness that builds, finishes very dry and very bitter - the west coast IPA way
O - good representation of a west coast IPA. There are some I like more than this one, but this was good.

The Lexical Gap is a decent offering fro Pollyanna. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent has orange peel. The taste has a weird finish...much like many Michigan made beers...but beside that it tastes good. Unripe orange concentrate bitterness. The Mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's worth a try.
