On-tap at Lucky 32, Greensboro, NC

A: The beer is relatively clear yellowish amber in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that died down, consistently leaving a short head covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate amounts of citrusy hops are present in the nose—oranges and tangerines seem to stand out in particular—are present in the smell.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of oranges and tangerines and some hints of pine; the hops contribute a moderate amount of bitterness. The finish is piney and has notes of caramel malts.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA has and interesting taste that slowly transitions from citrus to pine.

Another local brewer from a few miles up near the highway. Pours golden amber with a nice, puffy, durable half inch head. Nose is light, with grassy hops and a touch of citrus fruitiness; grapefruit, and perhaps mango.

Definitely some solid west coast inspired pine and citrus combo rocking from the touch to the aftertaste. If you like assertive hops, this is a decent effort. The feel is a bit less tight; not really watery just a touch off. Still, not awful at all for a first effort. I would certainly give this beer and brewery another swing.

A: Pours a lightly hazy golden honey in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and some faint amber + medium yellow highlights. The beer has a half finger tall foamy off-white head that reduces to a large patch of thin film and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of citrus/tangerine and pine hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of grainy + caramel malts.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of grainy + caramel malts with a light amount of honey sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of citrus/tangerine hops and a lighter flavor of pine hops in the finish. The hops contribute a light amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin.

O: Easy to drink and refreshing with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable.
