Normally I shy away from the murky, oversaturated, pillow-soft, low bitterness, fruit-forward, yada fucking yada NEIPA style - my palate took a hard turn a couple years ago and this formerly loved and coveted style started tasting like acidic pineapple juice and flat Tang.

All that being said, for reasons only the Great Beer Palate Sprit (GBPS) knows, this beer was delicious.

Spot on for the style in look, taste and feel - I actually felt Braddock had a great balance of pine, floral and fruity hop-flavor and aromatics with (to my taste) a light but noticeable bitterness. Easy to tell it was from a fresh keg because it hit all my senses with force.

Well done, but if you’ll excuse me - get off my fucking lawn, NEIPA.

Beautiful, soft orange and yellow body; thick and heavy white head; sticky with sheets of foam clinging to the glass. Dull citrus aroma with a more pronounced cereal and oat-like smell. An incredibly subtle yet complex and deeply nuanced flavor; fresh squeezed citrus fruit, orange and banana; oats; fine hop bitterness; just a touch of alcohol presence. Heavy body; soft yet thick and velvety; dull sweetness; some boozy dryness.

This is one unique and satisfying hazy IPA. It brings some earthy and juicy and thirst quenching to the palate, and is so multi-dimensional in a such a pleasant manner that it far surpasses so many hazy / cloudy / NEIPA offerings on the market. Its softness and nuanced flavors and depth of character are as straight-forward as they are mysterious. And I love a great mystery...

12oz slim can, media sample from the brewery.

Hazed out looking brew with a good head retention. Dank, pungent, mouthful of grapefruit, orange rind, faint cilantro, grassy, & fruity esters in the nose and the palate. Smooth and creamy with a slight crisp edge. The way the flavors hit my tastebuds is near perfect. Balanced for the style and a real treat to drink. Put this one at the same level of Trillium, Tree House, & Other Half.

New England's worst kept secret has gotten out! Encroaching on Pennsylvania, their north east IPA that's ridiculously hazy, premierely fruity, tantalizingly juicy and creamy, and then shockingly smooth with bitterness now graces the brewhouse of Brew Gentlemen.

Absurdly turbid, the beer's shocking opaque gold renders its appearance akin to tapioca, with perhaps extra pulp. But with one supple sniff, the beer instantly wins over the senses. Juicy with a citrus and tropical fruit medley, an exotic bouquet wraps around a fresh grassy, herbal scent and begs a quick first sip. Just as juicy as the fragrance suggests, a rounded fructose-like sweetness with angel-food cake, light honey and dough sweeps the front of the tongue.

And the beer simply blossoms from there. White grapefruit, under-ripened orange, light lemon all roll gently into a tropical punch taste from pineapple, mango, passionfruit and papaya. While a drift of melon, kiwi, nectarine and lime come and go, the mind can't help from going to creamsicle or sherbet-like evocation. Smooth bitterness ensues and the ale dries and its grip on the finish is soft with parsley, fresh grass clippings, muddled chive and a kiss of cannabis as the beer flutters into finish.

Creamy, medium and smooth, the beer's patient separation of foam from ale in the appearance manifests in texture as well. Juicy, fluffy and yet with an arid sensation, the beer covers remarkable distance smoothly, softly and completely; en route to a malty-dry finish with a coaxing resinous grip. Sensual, firm and dry, General Braddock certainly has a way with the tastebuds.

I heard the recipe for this beer changed, so I decided to try it again. My previous score was 2.98 and man, that beer sucked.

This is nothing like the original recipe. Clear hop influence. Nice crisp profile. Clean. Probably the cleanest I have yet to have from the BG in both a visual aspect and flavor as well. Nice consistent bitterness that isn't over the top or overly bold and good pine tones; all of which makes for a fairly pleasant and easy drinker that is not overly obnoxious.

Not the same beer I had in the past. Vast improvement. Brew Gentlemen is getting interesting, it seems.

The beer comes in a lemony yellow, straw color with murky haze.

The beer bursts of juicy orange, frozen orange concentrate, zesty grapefruit, hints of candy sweetness, grass with a soft and ever so gently bitter finish. What this beer excels at is tasting like actual juice, pulpy orange and grapefruit for days. Having it up against Tree House Julius, this seemed like a sibling, but again playing with imitating juice better than the soft and delicate tropical explosion within Julius.

Growler redo, less than a week old, should be better than the last:
Same pour.

Nose much brighter, big citrus, tangerine, orange juice, a bit of pith, tropical notes with a little mango sherbert, orange creamscicle, pulpy pith, creamy malt and wheat/oat base, no onion this time around.

Taste brings more goodness, very creamy, wheat oatmeal thing but doesn't seem to be lactose thankfully although now I'm starting to wonder, plenty of mild citrus, like a tangerine clementine thing, a touch of mango sherbert, lots of pith and pulp, a little pine and perhaps oniony vegetal note very late and very light. Fair bitterness throughout.

Mouth is med bod, fair creamy, decent carb

Overall much better than the older growler, although not as good as most of their other IPAs I've had.

Growler filled 11/19 shared with rudzud

Big creamy rich 1 finger head that fades slowly, nice sticky lacing, murky apricot orange color 4.5

Nose mild tropical fruit but also dank green oniony notes, little pine resin, citrus orange zest, fruity melon papaya notes. 3.75

Taste brings mild citrus, pith, little tropical papaya, little orange, little stone fruit, mild melon note, mild bitterness, soft creamy malt, wheat oat like, h hint unripe tangerine. Finishes a little spicy hop bitterness, citrus notes 3.75

Mouth is med bod, little soft creamy, decent fluffy carb 4.25

Overall not great either, surprisingly mild, not bad just mild 3.75

Had this on 2016-11-26 in Pittsburgh, PA at the brewery.

A - Very cloudy, milky orange with a 1-finger white head and decent lace.

S - Dank, pineapple, grassy/herbal floral, light pine, cracker.

T - Ripe pineapple, sourdough white bread, papaya, white pepper, mild pine, grass, fresh hops that are lightly vegetal. Not overly bitter.

M - Medium body and Light-medium carbonation. Mildly resinous.

O - Very tasty. Worth the trip.

Poured a cloudy yellow body with large head and lace ring down glass. Acidic orange juice-like aroma with a smooth acidic orange juice hoppiness and sweetness in medium body with clean finish.
