This is our one year anniversary IPA. This beer is the full strength IPA of the Session with Dr. Nandu which was the first beer ever brewed by the Aeronaut team (even before it was Aeronaut). The original beer was inspired by the Spanish Table beer Guineu Riner and Founders All Day IPA. The concept was to make a delightful, light, floral, fruity highly drinkable pale ale. In this beer we find a faint malt sweetness is paired with a distinct bitterness and rich tropical aromas of Mosaic hops.

my first from these guys, not crazy fresh, but still tasty and pretty distinctive on the hop side for familiar varietals, this has me curious about aeronaut, lots to like here even in an imperfect specimen. reddish tinted, a little more malt body, smoothness, and flavor than a lot of these have, and it allows the hops to run a little bitter, even though this is also seemingly quite liberally dry hopped, it does pack a punch on the back end while staying in balance, not the easiest line to walk and definitely not the direction most hoppy beer is going these days. woodsy centennial hops, citrus from mosaic and citra more than anything else, oily in feel, higher alpha than expected, some meat on the bone here overall which i like as fall sets in, faint yeast character too, slightly english to me but could be one of those new school juice strains, not a thiol thing but it does have that up front hop intensity that the yeast compliments and assists with. it feels a little heavy because its fading, like its been warm or was poorly canned or something, but the beer is still easy to appreciate, oily and punchy, lots and lots of citra, some pine as it warms, a long aftertaste with good bitterness. looking forward to more from these guys, this is different enough to stand out, solid first impression.

A surprising throwback IPA: bitter, piney, resinous, and dank. It had me thinking of WC IPAs of yesteryear, and even SNPA - fitting, as at 6.3%, this crisp, lively beer is on the lighter side of the IPA spectrum. Fantastic.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a slightly hazy copper color with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had wonderful tropical fruit hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet tropical fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

The beer has a gorgeous caramel color to it with a nice frothy head that never seems to really dissipate. All the way to the last sip a thin froth was still floating above beer and it left its white residue down the side of the glass. A floral scented beer that transitions to a nice slightly malty and fruity tasting IPA. A bit bitter at the after taste, but thats what it should be. An easy drinking IPA that paired well with a supper.

Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass canned on 11/04/2020. Pours clear orange amber with a half finger sticky off white head that leaves some thin lines of lace with solid retention. 4.25

Aroma is rye, caramel, pine, biscuit, apricot, and grapefruit rind. 3.75

Taste follows rye, biscuit, tangerine, caramel, apricot, and a shot of grapefruit in the slightly bitter finish. 3.75

Mouthfeel is medium, plenty of life, a tad dry, and at 6.5% ABV it goes down that way and pretty easy drinking. 4

Overall this is a solid IPA, just a tad malty for me these days. Still glad I got to try a can. 3.75
