I may be a bit biased because I went on a night when they had a band playing, but this place is great! Cool atmosphere with great local artists' work around the walls. Beer was good. Service was pretty good considering the place was busy. My one complaint is that it had an odd room to the side that just seemed kind of random and out of place, but maybe on a regular night it would've made more sense. Great place overall and I will go back.

There's only about 8 beers on draft, but they are decent. Service was top notch. Very cool vibe though, I love what they did with the place. Come to sample a flight or enjoy 1-3 beers... then see what else is out there.

I get what they're trying to accomplish here - a community hub sort of place with lots of activities. Both times I visited there was some type of event happening, sometimes multiple things at once. A bit chaotic unless you are directly involved with the particular event. Nintendo on the wall and video games in another section.

Hipster/industrial factory layout. Servers are pleasant enough, which is kind of a big plus in the sour-puss Camberville area.

Where this place really falls apart though is in the most important area - the beer. I've tried 6 of their beers either on site or from package stores, and they range from acceptable/mediocre to downright bad.

So, bottom line - if there was some type of event going on there that you're participating in, it's a cool place. But just don't go for a quiet beer.

Open concept hipster vibe. Picnic, family style tables. Video games and music. Tends to be anywhere from 4-8 drafts at any given time. Part of a building that also has a couple small craft businesses.

Vibe: Picnic benches with board games available for checkout and SuperNintendo games projected on the wall. Quite dark, but not too loud, which was nice. I think this place could definitely use more lighting.

Quality: The beer here is great, and I think the beer average is unfairly penalized by some low-scoring outliers.

Service: Bartender served quickly, but otherwise was just alright.

Selection: About 8 different, freshly brewed beers on tap.

I really love this place. As a neighbor of the brewery here in Somervillle, I can't begin to tell you how great this brewery is for our community. Aeronaut is becoming a landmark in the Somerville neighborhood and a place I like to pop in to a few times a month just to see whats going on. Their space is incredible and they are really turning out some noteworthy brews. The eye of sauvin and year with dr. nandu really are treats. Hopeing to see this place really take off!

Worth a stop if you are in the area, staff is great and all that I have dealt with are knowledgeable about the beer.

My only big gripe is the "full pour" glasses ... footed pints?? Feels like I am holding a paper weight and I hope to hell it is not a 12oz glass which means you are getting less than 12oz. Even if it is a 16oz glass I'm getting less than 16oz ... either or the pricing per pint is a bit high IMO for the normal / smaller beers.

Will be visiting them on a semi-regular basis as their selection changes up pretty frequently and it has the cool warehouse vibe. ;-)

Very cool place to visit. They had a food truck parked outside, plus they had baked goods for sale inside. The bar are is spacious with plenty of seating. There is an open floor plan, so you can see all the brewing equipment. In terms of entertainment, they had Nintendo on the huge wall, and live music. The beers all tasted great, and there was a huge variety of styles. The prices were good, and they had growlers to go. This place is pretty awesome. Just keep in mind that parking is a bit tight in the area. A great destination brewery to visit.

Cool place for the 20 something's to drink homebrew. Place is an incredible space - really multiple spaces. It's huge bar area with a hanger size seating and corn hole area. Food truck and band, plus some charity event the place is alive. The staff are friendly and engaging whether this your first time or hundredth time.

But guys be real, the beer isn't good, no it's homebrew quality at best. Don't come here for the beer that is thin body, muddled or unbalanced flavor admit it's just a great place.

Hope the brew crew steps up their game. Maybe focusing in on a few styles rather than having five taps running.

Brand new as of July, 2014. This is a warehouse with lots of possibilities. 30 foot ceiling and a large foot print. The brewing equipment is within full view of the patrons. One week into the opening and they are offering six different brews--2 wheats, a saison, 2 pale ales and an imperial Stout.

One week in, and there are about thirty drinkers as of 2:30 pm Saturday. Most seem to be beer geeks like myself and everyone is enjoying the offerings. There's outdoor seating as well as a bar for about twenty-five. The place filled nicely as the afternoon progressed.

The place is definitely learning how to be open to the public. The growlers are not obvious nor is anything else beyond the beer, but they make up for this in price and friendliness.

I can't help but root for a place like this. I look forward to returning after they start becoming smoother in their approach.

Aeronaut is just getting started, so I'm sure this review will develop over time.

The first impression that you get when you enter the building is "man, this place is huge!" The Aeronaut operation is on the first floor of a wing of a former envelope company. The brewery is in a smaller room in the rear of the building. The taps are also in the back. There is a small area with some tables and seating, and the brewery is in plain view so that patrons can see everything that is going on.

Aeronaut is a brewery founded and operated by scientists! They have PhD chemists and microbiologists raising new yeast strains and trying out new ingredients. We're sure to see some unique beer flowing from the taps soon.

The space in the front is for an incubator for food based start ups, described as an Urban Farmhouse. There's a coffee roaster, a chocolatier, a company that runs a farm market delivery service, and space that will be used for a seven day / week farmers market. There's also a small entertainment stage and sound system. This place is going to be a blast once they are fully operational.

Aeronaut was the host for NERAX this March, and the abundant space was a big plus. There was room for a LOT of people and a LOT of cask ales!
