Notes:
The rich, black-as-night color with the creamy, tan head tells you that the beer in your glass is a stout through and through. However, after you raise the glass to your nose, you will know that Sad Panda is something special. Aromas of vanilla and chocolate are prominent yet balanced with the malt sweetness and caramel aromas expected in stouts. Your first sip introduces the complex combination of flavors you might expect in your favorite coffee – the balanced sweetness of vanilla and dark chocolate flavors with a smooth coffee bitterness at the finish, this drinkable stout hits all of our sensory pleasure points. The sweet balanced finish invites another sip. Just one more….

Identified as a Coffee Stout. I'd probably have included vanilla in the name, as I thought vanilla was the most prominent flavor to this one.
Pours dark brown, verging on black, with a cream colored head. Aroma is vanilla bean, white chocolate, caramel, roasty, and a touch of of coffee. Flavor is similar with the vanilla showing itself first, followed by some white chocolate, roast, and caramel, and closing out with just a touch of coffee and very mild bitterness. A creamy, medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, not a vanilla stout fan but I definitely enjoyed this one. Would drink again.

More of a chocolate and vanilla stout than a coffee stout. Big and sweet with rich dark malts. The coffee is present, but not over pronounced. It’s very well balanced among all the adjuncts. The mouthfeel is thicker than I expected for a under 7% stout.

Smells like a pot of molten milk chocolate. Not particularly pretty. But great flavor. A little thin on the mouthfeel. Great chocolate flavor. Chocolate milk like!

Very dark brown with a tan ring and surface lacing. Smell does well to have the depth of the coffee, both bean and roast, very earthy with dark chocolate. More like espresso coffee in the taste, with chocolate, vanilla, soil, and caramel supporting. Coffee resurges for the roasted finish. Feel has really good roasted textures, gets a touch watery in the middle where the malts should cover more, but then finishes satisfyingly strong so that you can see the gap as building anticipation on the palate.

Coffee flavour is there all right, and some vanilla and token chocolate. A year old. Good stout but not great stout. Thanks for the hookup, Jason B.

This beer started out with promise, but went down hill. Admittedly, I'm not a coffee stout kind of guy, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt.
Looks good. Nice and dark, thin head. Aroma was sweet coffee...and syrupy. That's what I got from the taste, too. A syrupy mess. Thin but filmy. Coffee flavor was there, but it seemed like it was misplaced or tried too hard. Couldn't get 3 sips down.

Growler from the brewery. Super dark brown, black but brown at the edges. Decent lacing. Aroma is vanilla, slight coffee. Flavor is coffee and vanilla and floats between the two. Good beer.
