An 11.2oz bottle served at 48 degrees from my cellar. It is dated with a drink by date of Oct 08. It is now July 05.
Pours a nice medium brown color with a large lump of yeast at the end of the pour. You can see small bubbles rising through the brew. A light head form and it would appear that it will make it through, in small volume, through to the end of the glass.
The nose is of light malt. Given my allergies, I've never been able to nail the aromas on either beer or wine.
Taste is at first very pleasing, shortly followed by a bite with a lingering dry hoppy finish with some alcohol the sticks with you. There isn't much complexity to the brew. Not bad, not really good either. Just nothing very memerable other than the mid-taste bite, which I'm not a huge fan of.
The carbonation tickles your whole mouth and sticks with you a while -- this may be overpowering the flavor of the beer. After sitting in the belly for a while, this beer produces some powerful belches. FYI.
Given the tingly nature of the mouthfeel and the bite in the taste, this isn't a very drinkable beer at this date. Maybe it needs another year or so.
I'll try my other bottle later, rather than give it away.

BB okt 06. Nice appearance with beige foam and clear dark brown beer. Nose is sweet, litle wort like, lots of caramel, aromatic hops and litle coffee but also some vegetables. Taste is sweet and very bitter, caramellic malts obvious as is the roast. Good mouthfeel if you like hops but as sweetness litle overdone IMO. Drinkable but very heavy, thick, sharp and bitter beer.

330ml Bottle bought from www.belgianshop.com
Poured a dark brown / red colour... Head was a creamy colour.
Quite big beading produced a fairly foamy head, but this settled down quite quickly to a thin layer which stayed until near the end....
Aroma - Citrusy, sharp, peppery, dark chocolate, hints of cherry...
Taste Quite sweet, malty, dark fruits - plums. Aniseed. Quite noticable alcohol.
Feel - Smooth with slight sharpness from alcohol...
Overall - A fairly good beer... quite drinkable. Not one of the best examples of it's kind though...
