Had a 6oz taster at the Brewery in Fredricksburg, Va. Didn't really like this one. Not a big wheat beer fan. Tasted bitter.

On-tap at J Brian's in Fredericksburg, Virginia. A cool wheat beer for a warm day. On to the beer:
Backpack wheat sits somewhere between an American pale wheat ale and a Bavarian hefeweizen. The beer is pee yellow colored and topped with only a little head which mediocre retention. The aroma is mild with appealing phenols and spice. The beer has a crisp character, lightly flavored with banana and lemon, ended with a kiss of bittering hops. Swimming in a light body, Backpack Wheat is a fine choice for quenching a thirst.

Never have been a really big wheat fan. This one has a different finish for me than other wheat beers I have had in the past.
Smoother malty backbone with a great up front taste.

Decent, drinkable and enjoyable. Bought on draft while enjoying the afternoon at the brewery. Relatively light but definitely a wheatbier. Refreshing and enjoyable at the brewery!
