Had at the stony creek brewery as a guest tap, poured into a pint glass. Cloudy and golden with a white head. Decent aroma of tart rye and a nice hop note. Flavor starts slightly sweet and a little tart, lemon flavors come from the hops at the end, finishes a bit bitter. Nice, easy drinking IPA.

A really pleasant, albeit light IPA. Not a high IBU/ABV drink, if you're looking to get dragged into a dark ally and assaulted by hops this isn't the beer for you. However, if you're looking for a more refreshing take on an IPA (especially on a hot day) I would sincerely recommend it. One of my favorite post-work/workout beers in the summer.

A big thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a cloudy, golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tangerines, hints of rye. Taste is tangerines, pine, light rye and spices, extremely refreshing. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

From the can. Date smudged. Sampled on July 14, 2016.

It pours orange amber under a big cream colored head.

The aroma has a grainy character and sweet malt character along with a bit of fruit, spice, and a touch of pineapple.

Light to medium body.

The flavor also brings out the same mild fruity and sweet malt character but there is a definite dry bitterness at the end. Lingers.

One of the hazier session beers that I've seen. Would not have guessed the ABV just by looking at this copper colored IPA in the glass. Head is off white, light lacing, reforms readily with a swirl. Pretty big peppery quality in the flavor from the rye. Carbonation level is just right for a session beer, in which drinkability is paramount. Some hop bitterness in the finish, perhaps more than I was expecting. There's a graininess to the malts which I actually like, as compared to so many of the watery and thin session IPAs I've had before. This really doesn't drink like a lot of the other beers in this style, from the appearance to the mouthfeel to the malts actually expressing themselves. Well done!
