Toasted, Bready, Chicory, Crust

An Oatmeal Brown Ale of sorts, with both malted and flaked oats bringing forth a lot of depth. Very malt forward with suggestions of cocoa powder, mild roast coffee, faint caramel and toasted bread from additions of both roasted and toasted malts. Well balanced with a kiss of hop flavor. Robust and drinkable, and not your typical Brown, which perhaps makes it that much more enjoyable.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color inward with a sturdy cap of a little white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Not much lace, somewhat concave and stringy.
The aroma had a sweet malty milk chocolate to subtle dark chocolate character. Light sweet wafer/biscuit with some brown sugar and nuttiness playing with some caramel/toffee malts to bear a fine balance.
The flavor definitely leaned into the sweetness of the malts that bit into a satisfying crisp nutty to chocolate to light coffee conglomerating just as I had hoped for in a nice brown ale. Nice smooth crisp nutty and sweet aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation hit nice and smooth. ABV felt on par. Finish was wonderful as it had the wanted and expectant smooth to crisp and sweet malty and nutty finish.
Overall, really liked it for me, but almost want to say that this could be considered an English one as I didn't get enough hops to tell me that it was an American styled one. I'd still have again.

Pours a dark reddish brown color. Thick, light-tan colored foam slowly dissipates to a thin foam around the edges. Smells malty, with caramel and oats. Tastes slightly sweet malty, nutty, and oats followed by a piney hops. Very light carbonation on the tongue and a slightly buttery swallow, but clean and somewhat dry after. Overall, a pleasant brown ale and I can taste why they went with the Granola name.

Pours a slightly reddish brown with almost a finger of head. The nose is crisp and hoppy but the malt bill is not strong on the nose. The malt certainly comes through in the flavor, however. The body is reasonably hearty.

Pours a darker brown with a nice head. Roast malts in the taste. Very nice beer that looks the part, tastes the part and feels good going down. Pleasant!
