12oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $2.75. No canned on date, but I think that this is relatively fresh.
Look: It has a light to medium gold color, almost perfectly clear. It has a frothy, white head that has mostly small bubbles and good retention. Lots of small bubbles are rising up the glass.
Smell: It smells very nice. It has nice grassy, lemony, and earthy notes. It's very pleasant. Slightly sweet, crackery malt.
Taste: Very tasty. The flavors mirror the aromas up front. The finish has a significant bitterness with a lot of peppery, herbal, and lemon rind character. I wonder what kind of hops are used here (I would guess a Noble variety like Saaz). It's very refreshing. Super clean, crisp, and finishes dry. While it's called Cold Pizza, I could see this being really enjoyable to drink with pizza.
Feel: It's pretty light but it has a decent body for its weight class. Nicely carbonated.
Overall: I think that this may be my first Italian Pilsner and it is also my first Black Hog Brewing Co. beer. It's very enjoyable. I would look forward to trying other Italian Pilsners and other Black Hog beers.

Poured from can to glass. Figured I’d get around to reviewing this as I got it on a whim one time and have come back to it at least a couple times since then.
L: Generous pure white head. Medium lacing for a pilsner. Body is not quite straw in color, maybe yellow gold.
S: very fresh smelling. Lemon. Grassy. A little zest. A light bread.
T: Bread, malt, and cracker. Herbs and a grassy/citrus zest creep in but don’t overpower it.
F: crisp and refreshing. Doesn’t have a strong hops presence but I’d say it’s more than your average pilsner for sure. Carbonation is perfect in my opinion. Has substantial body to it, doesn’t have a hollow or watery feel to it while maintaining a dry “light”-ish character. Finish lasts longer than you’d expect which is pretty good as well.
O: it’s good and worth a try. Didn’t expect to like it as much as I do.

Technically, this is an Italian Pilsner which means it has been dry hopped. The smell gets some hop but to the degree I’d expect.
Modest head from the bartender’s cautious pour. It leaves thin blanketing lace on the glass. Light gold color and crystal clear.
Pleasant brewery smell with a dollop of floral hop.
Smooth and round mouthfeel, not as crisp as the Czech or German versions. Ample carbonation. The malt leans dry but still retains some soft pale malt characteristics. The hop comes in quickly but never overwhelms the beer. It is stronger than most, though. Longer aftertaste than most Pilsners.

Poured from a 16oz can stamped HOME SLICE 7/20/22 to a Pils glass at fridge temp.
Body is medium gold with a slight haze. It's not hazy enough though to block the view of the nucleation bubbles. A pure white mushroom head of multi-sized bubblespokes above the rim of the glass. Despite the nice head lacing is disappointing.
The nose is hoppy and grassy. Maybe what a bine field smells if you brush cut everything at the end of the season.
The taste has familiar Pilsner notes, but with quite a bit more hop emphasis. Actually the finish is pure hop with a quite faint hop burn sense.
The carbonation is generous.
Despite the really mild impression of hop burn I really liked this beer. I don’t like cold pizza (the solid stuff) though.

This is my first Italian Pilsner, a style not listed here on BA. From what I understand it’s basically just a dry hopped Pilsner, which are probably done by modern brewers and not even listed as such, so I’ve likely had one unknowingly before. Let’s get into it
Pours a cloudy yellow gold with 2 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
This is really nice in the nose, not overpowering with the hops but they’re still present. I’m picking up on aromas of tangerine, crackery malt, floral hops, lemon zest, light honey, and white pepper
I’m surprised by this actually, it still feels like a Pilsner but quite unique. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting crackery malt, white pepper, orange zest, grapefruit pith, honey, and herbal hops. The swallow brings notes of bready malt, herbal hops, white pepper, tangerine, and a touch of toast
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a a crisp and zesty beer. Finishes mostly dry and nicely balanced
This is really solid stuff surprisingly. I kinda thought it might be a hoppy mess, but I really enjoyed it

This is an excellent pilsner - crisp and clean and flavorful. Nice bitterness and not too sweet, refreshing but satisfying in all aspects. This batch was canned on 4/26/2022 Excellent - I would buy this again.

Clear gold with a quickly settling head. Smell is a fine typical pilsner. Taste is clean, typical pilsner. Feel is moderate carbonation and smooth. Overall, this is a good clean tasting robust pilsner. The pint can says it is "dry hopped Italian style " along with the pizza box graphics.
