Blend #2.
Filled 9/12/15
Consumed 3/14/16
Big tan head overtop a dark brown liquid.
Aroma is ...sweet modelling glue! But in a good way.
Taste is similar but there's a dark fruit element to it.
Mouthfeel is sharp and cuts the back of my throat with each sip.
Loved it.

A: black and just barely translucent. Tan head fades quickly to surface lacing. S: typical sour musty-ness, hits of leather and wine. T: exceptional. Sharp sour beer up front followed by complex flavor profile of licorice, leather, and something else bitter in a nice herbal way. Despite the generally bitter flavor profile the finish is pretty smooth. M: thick and viscous, sticks to your tongue (his is relative to other sours, it is lighter than your average imperial stout). Small sharp carbonation that lasts well. O: Overall my favorite offering from OEC and my favorite new world sour. Incredibly complex. As a usual stout and IPA drinker I'm not sure if I'm the best judge but this is good beer. I'm only sad that I cracked this growler on a random Tuesday and didn't save it for a special occasion.

Thanks to Stevie Gula.

A- Black body to a tulip with a off white foamy cap to just over a finger. Decent retention and as it falls webs of lacing form fairly plentifully. A few webs of lace.

S- Sourness off the top for the most part, almost all lactic with a touch of vinegar but only a tiny bit. A touch of roast but its smoothed out and not at all sweet or dessert-esque. Tar cherries and lemons.

T- Mostly the sours once again with super intense lactic acid and further on some acetic raspberry vinaigrette type feel. Lemons, wet medium toast oak, tart pie cherry and raisin dark fruits, a touch of licorice and toasted nuts.

MF- Very dried out body which comes in at a light-medium overall feel. High end carbonation and a touch foamy. Ends rather sour.

Deceiving for 9.5%, actually pretty insane as it comes in like a very sour dark session brew almost, must be some blending skills at play. Somewhat slick.
